Expand your bench and add a hidden light/magnifier mount!

I was all excited about the cans, but then realized I have a wall of hand tools! I have all my screwdrivers, pliers, mini files, knives/scribes, hammers, etc an 4x8 peg board. I have thought about putting a shelf off one end, perpendicular to the pegboard.

Regarding the light, I have a bright LED "dual tube flourescent"-style worklight overhead. It seems much brighter than the light shown over yours. I have it a bit closer to the wall than directly over the bench. It was a great upgrade. If I need some bright work light on a smaller work area, they sell very inexpensive LED sewing machine lights on like 10" goosenecks and strong magnetic bases. Some are brighter than others, so I tried a couple and got a few of the better ones. They stick magnetically to most tools (bandsaws, drill presses, belt sanders) and do a great job. On the bench, you can use a 1-2-3 block and put them wherever you want.
