I have always loved the kimono. When living in Okinawa for a couple of years in my 20’s I fell in love with everything Japanese. I am now 66 years old and have spent my life longing to return for a visit. I am saving for that trip. Your kimonos are so lovely, watching you has brought tears to my eyes. ❤❤

I just discovered your channel and I loved this video. I Only have one but once I use to have a small collection of kimono I use to purchase from a kimono thrift market that sadly no longer exists. I forget the proper name but I one of the items was the formal attire of a samurai the kimono, hakama, and the pointy vest piece. I had a few bridal kimono and three furisode. sadly I no longer have the collection but I restarted by purchasing a pretty lavender kimono. when I move I want to try and rebuild my collection.

私も着物大好きですが、着物と帯の組み合わせが難しいです。
とても上手に組み合わせておられてステキです。
母が縁側で着物を縫ってくれていたことを思い出し、母が亡くなってから着てあげなければと思う様になりました。
リサイクルでも安く購入し、楽しんでいます。
ただ、私は背が高いので昔の着物は短いものが多く気に入っても買えない物もありますが、着物も帯も芸術品だと思い飾ったりもしています。
本当にステキな憧れる生活ですね。
楽しみに見させていただきます。

I am so glad to have found you!! You are a kindred spirit - I too love kimono and have been collecting them for about 7 years. I care lovingly for them as I feel that they are amazing and as the old kimono makers slowly disappear they seem to me to be even more precious. Soon nobody will be around to make the fabrics anymore so I feel like I too am preserving a lost art. All of my kimonos are second hand and old and each is like an old friend. I have studied how the cloth is made and I am totally overwhelmed at the work involved to make something like Yuki Tsumugi, or Oshimo Tsumugi fabric. I just wanted to share the Gospel with you guys! So, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, day and night, and every living creature was made by him. But there was one special of them all. Man. He made man with his own image, he gave them authority over the world and told them to be fruitful and fill the Earth, the man's name was Adam, and God saw that he was lonely so God made a partner for him, God took a piece of rib from Adam while he was in deep sleep and made his partner, he named her a "woman" for she was taken out of a man. Я уважаю что Вы чтите традиции и многие люди в Японии носят кимоно. Жаль, что в России не носят хотя бы часть традиционной одежды или костюма. Традиции и национальные особенности очень важны

Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection. I as fortunate to visit Japan 7 years ago. #1 on my list was to buy kimonos. I wear them in a non traditional way and feel honor each time I wear them. They are secondhand. I love your thought of the memories they hold. I will now think about that each time I wear them.
