Why are there Giants in South America on Old Maps?

- I find it interesting that they described giants as Patagones and that pata- means foot in Portuguese and Spanish.
Actually, in Spanish it means animal foot or paw, but "patagon" sounds like the Spanish word, "paton", or big foot.

There is way too much evidence and anecdotal account of giants, including in the Bible, to dismiss giants. Ditto gor rare species of animals.

Guys, maybe someone would help me!!! Last year in a group on Facebook someone posted the coordinates of giant skeleton in mountains in Chile. I swear I checked it on google earth and there was the most clear skeleton shape that grew into the mountain I’ve ever seen. But I never saved the coordinates and now I’m desperate to find them. It was called something along the lines of” Mount de gigante “ or something like that. And now I can’t find any info at all, like everything was deleted. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Giants are myths of latter day humans. They existed in pre civilizations. Maximum height of humans up to the 1900s was 8ft. Most people have never seen even 7 footers.

Old Norman castles (900 years old) here in Ireland have remarkably small internal doors. Most people today have to stoop down to go through them. The Medieval Suits-of-Armour on display in some castles would only fit small people today.

Europeans on average were also shorter people than many are today. The average height might have been about 5'6". A 6'3" person would seem like a giant. I'm a 5'3" woman and 6' is tall to me; seven is incredible. Giant could be a relative term. Still, the existence of giants 7' tall would and is fantastic. Who knows?

Ever go on a field trip to a historical site like Williamsburg or Freedom Trail? Europeans back then were tiny, I saw the beds the soldiers slept in and they looked like children’s beds. To these tiny malnourished Europeans a 6-7 ft tall healthy person might have seemed like a giant. Doesn’t seem like a tall tale to meet a few pockets of folks that were tall. The height might have been magnified by the short peoples’ impression of their height since they weren’t taking measurements. I don’t know why but I find this really fascinating 🤷🏻

Maybe there were some tribes of tall people there. We know from those Lidar scans there are vast cities and highways that are under the jungle growth, the inhabitants died off from diseases brought by the Europeans

I find it funny so many college professors today argue that Giants have never existed and that there is no evidence to suggest such. One modern example is there are villages of tribes of people known for their tremendous height in the Sudan....a famous former NBA player Manute Bol who was discovered there and brought to America in the early 1980s was 7'7 inches tall and it was told in his biography that there were numerous people in his tribe well over 7 feet tall and some that reached over 8 feet tall. It was said that Mantue Bol's mother was 6'8 and his father was 7'3. Manute had a son who more recently has played in the NBA named Bol Bol......this younger Bol grew to 7'2. There truly have always been giants in the world. Most scientists and plenty of college professors refuse to admit it because they are afraid that in doing so then Christian people can say it is evidence that Giants could have truly existed back in the days of David and Goliath the Bible tells us about.
