When you finish the Quest, you two options
Make an underground town, or a property vault

Playing on PS5 (ps4) and you cannot connect different styles of rooms together at all.

There are ceiling pieces that allow you to extend the atrium width. You just missed it. It's under atrium section

Love how you ignore the obvious lacking points of construction. You only briefly talked about why the ceiling doesn't work in one section of building. It does work in most. Waste of time.

6 years later and I must thank you for this video. Just started replaying this fallout 4 as a mega raider and I wanted to create a "Good Guy" hub using vault 88, but for the life of me I couldn't remember how to get doorways to work lol! Cheers!

We need schematics and blue prints at this point even expert and master builders have trouble with vault tec 😂 I'm starting to think vault tec is Bethesda of the fallout universe. Ps it just work's!.

I usually just make several small underground towns throughout the vault

That second tip is certainly useful. Too bad I already wasted so much time, build space and materials for the conduits by connecting them from the radio room generator. Hopefully my third vault will look better, for first one was complete disaster, (over 30 settlers live in giant cave) and my current one is... serviceable?

I ended up building my vault 88 more like a typical city, with a long road of atrium floors making a kind of road through the vault. I like it.

On the other hand, I am now creating a vault on the surface at Starlight Diner. That's part of the reason I came here. I got really frustrated with it because I couldn't get the rooms of different kinds to snap on to the residential vault parts. Made me rage.

I'm actually just using the generator that came in the security room with the vault. Didn't have to build one at all.

What corner pieces allow stacking? I tried the Atrium Prefab Corners (2 tier) they won't stack on each other vertically. I also tried stacking Domestic Prefab Corners (1 tier) and those also won't stack on each other vertically. So I am at a loss of how to do the corners after the first layer since they won't stack.

Currently here in 2024 and I keep having a problem where the first subjects just leave my building area and walk around the cave so I have to try and lead them back to the actual vault while I build

Any chance you got some tips on how to connect to different zones like the east wing to the west

The doorways is what held me up. I built a concrete building in the cave because of bloody doorways lol

I've been putting off rebuilding my vault in 88 because when I initially built it I was a full on noob & didn't really understand it. This is really helpful, I'm in the middle of said rebuild

I find the vault build pieces to be too constrictive especially when Bethesda gave us such a yuge canvas to build on in Vault 88. Why provide such a large space if all we can build using the vault pieces are small rooms? Makes no sense to me. I have scrapped all the vault pieces and just have my vault 88 settlers living in a dark ass cave now.

Yesterday I brought the dic but the vault structure was not in my structure
