Though i agree with the mon on not being too controlling, yet her not correcting her kids for the lives they were leading, is not right parenting.

I do agree with her that the media should have stayed on her daughters vrutal death instead of focussing on how she led her life. But we need to remember that sometimes to be heard with our intentions clear we need to keep our proclivities aside.

This case is so digusting. Poor girl. She was 15, in a faraway country with cheap access to anything and everything. Julio was a child predator who should have been put behind bars. There were men at every corner waiting to take advantage of her. The case was handled so poorly. The sentence was a joke. And they stole her organs?!!

I love your videos, extremely high quality and the host is also really good at narrating. However, the one thing that makes me want to not watch your videos is the interruptions in the story by the other person, Aryan. I don't even understand why he is there, he could be a part of narration or something but the interruptions in between kill the mood honestly.

Tbh we can't blame the kid because she was 15 that time. But Scarlett's mom failed in parenting who on their right minds leaves a 15 year old in a foreign country & expect her to be safe? And I will obviously judge Scarlett's mom too for her choices. 8 kids without a Father? Really?

My comment may sound harsh to some but it's a bitter truth. Locals often blame Indian tourists & migrant workers from other states for destroying peace, harmony & culture of Beach paradise.
But when a local is involved in some gruesome crimes, words are spoken in low volume.
Scarlet case got media attention due to international pressure on the state.
There are reason why Goa is loosing creamy tourist to other beautiful places. This story tells some reason behind gradual degradation of Goa tourism industry.

I’m from South Goa, which is quieter and less crowded compared to the bustling North Goa. Growing up here, we rarely ventured out too late unless it was for a special occasion like a wedding. Safety was always a priority in our households, and we grew up cherishing our traditions and way of life. Contrary to some stereotypes, most Goans are culturally grounded and don’t indulge in the kind of reckless behavior often associated with tourists.

Over the years, I’ve seen how tourism has changed Goa. While we welcome visitors with open arms, there have been challenges, especially when outsiders don’t respect the local culture. It’s disheartening when stereotypes—like Goan girls being "easy"—are perpetuated or when some tourists treat Goa as a place for indulgence without understanding its true essence.

There’s also a growing concern among Goans about the sale of land to outsiders and the loss of our natural beauty due to overdevelopment. Many of us feel protective of our home and its heritage, which is why you’ll see movements aimed at preserving Goa’s identity. These efforts aren’t about being against visitors but about ensuring that Goa remains the peaceful and vibrant place we know and love.

For me, growing up in South Goa has been a blessing. It’s a place of incredible natural beauty, rich history, and warm communities. I believe Goa has so much more to offer beyond its beaches and nightlife. It’s a place where tradition and modernity coexist, and it’s our responsibility to protect that balance.

Goa is still the paradise people know it to be, and we’re proud of its welcoming spirit. All we ask is for visitors to respect and cherish the land, culture, and people who make it so special.
