Its obvious to me that both Starmer and Reeves are secret fans of Reform UK. If they just carry on doing what they are doing (or not doing) Farage will indeed be the next Prime Minister of this country.

You and every other media outlet talk Farage up. If you all say he’s going to be the next PM guess what he will be. Farage says he wants to do away with the NHS it’s a vote loser so you have to keep reminding people of his intentions.

I'm very worried about disenfranchised young people voting left wing. When you feel life owes you a living or that working doesn't pay you vote left wing. Very scary. It will lead to more immigration and more anti white terror attacks like the one we just saw in Germany. Very scary. Here's hoping reform win

Sleepwalking? I’m with Mr Fry…the left are failing leading to the right prevailing! And a lot of it is the fault of the very silly Pantomime you’ve been performing for clicks and likes for the last 5 years. I sometimes think you may be secretly Right and this is all part of an elaborate plot to destroy the Left!

How about Labour just focus on making the country better through delivery and not obsessing over reform or talking in BS platitudes. If they do a good job then they will get voted back in. If not then they will be voted out. This is how our system works.

The reason the democrats lost in the US was because they achieved nothing over the 4 years of Biden's presidency. Because of this their 2024 campaign just ended up being negative, Trump bashing slog that appealed to no-one but hard-line democrat voters. The same thing is going to happen in the UK with Labour at this rate

Farage will never become Prime Minister.
Reform might get some Labour votes, but they are not winning Liberal Democrat seats in the south-west.
You need Labour, Tory and Liberal Democrat votes to win an election.
Sorry, but Farage is not building a one-nation coalition.

You can't go from five seats to over high 200s/low 300's to be the largest party at the next election.
This isn't a presidential system.
Also once his policies other than banging on about immigration get closer scrutiny in an election campaign, that 15-20% soft opinion poll figure will collapse.

It's up to labour, if they deliver for the masses then there will be no problem at the next election. Trouble is they have no appetite to do the things needed, I.e., reform the civil service and devolved powers to local regions to give people the power to actually do things.

If these charlatan grifters get into government we will free-fall into economic and social misery. An utterly deranged band of clowns. Having said that we only have Labour and Conservatives to blame for their sudden rise. Both parties fundamentally unable/unwilling to deal with immigration. Over a million people entering the country every year now. We have our demographic issues in the UK and we've been using the sticking plaster short term approach to dealing with it.

The problem with a two party state is you've got immense short termism. I remember Nick Clegg saying he wouldn't build any more nuclear power plants because the benefits wouldn't be felt until 2022. Ha ha. Nobody willing to tackle the tough issues. And that's how these grifting idiots make the headlines.

A lot of the commentary here is based off the mindset of the echo chamber that is twitter. Twitter is the home of the chimp. Real people don't live their lives there. People are genuinely unhappy with the state of the country and it needs working people to fix it, which is why politicians struggle, because they're all a bunch of free lunch finish at 4 mindset. The country will not recover until a grafter comes along. Digital times may be one thing, but people are sick of talking and want to see results.

Given the audience, I will probably get trolled for this, but putting Angela Raynor out there more wouldn't do Labour any favours. She might be popular with Labour's fanbase due to being from a genuinely working-class background and having a tough start in life, but she has alienated whole swathes of the electorate with things she has said, demonstrated rank hypocrisy on many fronts, and being "mouthy," as she calls herself, should not be mistaken for having anything worth saying. Indeed, being "mouthy" is best suited to populist politicians, but that's not what those of us with any intelligence want from our government. Look how popularism worked out for the Tories. It took them to giddy heights under Boris, but within a matter of years, they are a shadow of the party they once were. Reform may see a fast rise in popularity, but a decade from now, they will have as much relevance as UKIP today. I agree that Labour needs to modernise its communications, but putting Raynor in front of a microphone more than she already is isn't the answer.

The primary reason for distrust is the previous Tory government and current Labour government can’t be trusted to say anything honest. All they do is lie, lie lie! These presenters come across like they have zero experience in life. To a point where there is little point in listening to them. More bubble dwelling journalists!

I'm staunchly leftist, but it's plainly obvious to me that young men are attracted to the far-right because the left is utterly incompetent at messaging on men's issues. Men's issues are either dismissed as being nonexistent or "umm actually that's the fault of patriarchy so that's a you problem". It doesn't exactly look great when you have the likes of Jess Phillips laughing in parliament at the idea that men's issues ought to be discussed.
The far-right has absolutely dominated the discussion around men's issues. Sure, their talking points are largely nonsense, but they at least put up a front of giving a crap.

The economy isn't improving simply because people do not have disposable income to spend. The reason why they don't have any disposable income to spend is because the corporate elite are solely interested with making record profits rather than paying their workforce a decent wage. Key sectors like energy, food and housing all blatantly profiteering and making astronomical profits. Stamer doesn't have the bottle to sort it out so once again it'll be left to the unions to try and protect people's paypackets.

I am disabled i require low skill to survive I don't have the ability to do high end work but its getting so hard to find it now and we are only at the start of the issue i feel but not only that HOUSING is not existence i feel like all our options are being taken away from us. I just want to survive or given options but it feels the opposite. To be clear i blame both labour and Tories on this if we only kept control and had sensible policies things would not have gone so far.~
To be clear as well i struggle with human interaction due to this disability as well yet the world is getting so complex i literally wont leave the house. because something always offends somebody and expect very specific things or they will get mad its very unstable for ppl like me who will completely misread a situation or say the wrong thing without understand / mis saying something.
