I took care of my granny for 5 years, she lived with us, and she and i had a different kind of bond and I'm so incredibly thankful for the time I had with her, she passed years ago and I know it's not the same as a parent, but that shit still hurts. As a gay man with a religious family, it had always been so terrifying to consider coming out to them, but not a single family member thought less, she was born in 1923, and I was petrified of what she would do when finding out... But she was absolutely no different at all, took her to so many dr appointments when she lived with us, our senses of humor clicked so wonderfully, just wanted to add my own dedication here, love that woman and miss her terribly, my deepest sympathy for the ones who lost their parents.
