1969 was the end of the 60s, numerically. But socially, the 60s kinda hung on til 1973. That was the year of the Oil Crisis and when runaway inflation, sky-high interest rates, and unemployment took hold. Those were truly the final nails in the coffin for the Sixties Dream. Which was exactly what the global financial-political puppet masters engineered to happen, to kill real social progress and put everybody back on their leash of struggling to get by. We've never recovered from that.

To grow the student body they expanded the subject matter to include cultural issues such as gender studies, african–american studies, women’s studies, communications, film studies and sports education.
