to be fair even if this had come through back in the day, this was only "canon" for the american side of sega, and would have most likely been removed or at least ignored once sega started caring more about giving a unified identity to the sonic series. just like how most modern sonic media wont reffer to eggman as "robotnik" all that often anymore, as that name was never a thing in Japan (technically sega of japan made a compromise and accepted "robotnik" as eggman's real name, but the name is almost never used as they want the character to be known as Eggman globaly)

As much as I love Sonic The Hedgehog, this origin story still pisses me the hell off cause this doesn’t make much sense like okay lets make this one named Kintobor so that his name will be Robotnik when he gets evil from this failed emerald experiment

Edit: I think with Sonic’s origin story it kinda make sense to me and I think it could be a good answer to why is Sonic blue, but still though with Robonik’s origin story omg it like puts me in a very pissy mood
