Ya based on this video it showed how valentines day was transformed, but let's not forget it's original dark meaning. Regardless it's used as a holiday to make men or women guilty for forgetting a gift that original starting off as a day abusive and sacrificial! Why pick another commercialized holiday that the radio says you have to celebrate when you can choose to just love your significant other everyday and be thoughtful when you can, everyday. Also the ones alone who haven't found anyone yet feel left out and ya I know life isn't always fair, but I'm here to say for those who are alone, don't forget there's someone out there for you and some people wanna be and that's okay too. Poorly researched video. Lupercalia was first of all a festival of health and not love. It only had light associations with fertility while nothing with love. Valentine's day was a normal Christian holiday. If Valentine's day was from Lupercalia , then it should had been a festival of love or fertility from the beginning itself. But initial records of Valentine's day show no association with love. It's only centuries later since February was the time in Europe that birds began to mate that romantic literature in the backdrop of Valentine's day gave rise to romantic connotations to the Christian feast.

Valentine's Day sucks. I don't think the romantic type of love is special, and I think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it.

In my opinion, romantic love should not be on the highest pedestal. In my opinion, parents and siblings' family love is the strongest. Family knows who you are. Romance is fake for lots of people, put on a false persona and romance on most parts gets ugly real fast. For the reality of romance is no Disney love story.

Parents and siblings' family love is one of the strongest types of love there is. If romantic love is actually real, it would be one of the weakest types of love there is.
