I liked it but that guitar needs to go!! It really was distracting. Same vol. as the repair guy.
ОтветитьJust used this video to repair our washing machine. Great video! Definitely a Life Saver. Especially considering a repair service wanted to charge me about $580 for the repairs!!! 😠😠. Clutch cost me $50 and some of my spare time. Thanks again! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
ОтветитьNeed help... I did the clutch repair on a LSR7010pq1. The center shaft was corroded and would not come out. Took a lot of effort, hammering and time but I got it out. I removed the inner spin basket thinking it would help me get the shaft out. Wrong.
The drive block is stuck in the basket and no amount of hammering with a 4lb mallet will set it free. Replaced clutch and reassembled without issue. The drive block was very difficult to tighten and get it to lock on the shaft. But I got it tight. Now when empty, Low spin is fine but in high spin it goes violently out of balance.
I checked the suspension components and they are all in tact. The Spin basket remained attached to the shaft after several tests.
Not sure what went wrong. I think it is related to the drive block or the basket. What confuses me is that it is fine on low spin.
I am going to run it without the Spin basket to see what happens.
Any Ideas what my problem is ?
Mines missing the e-ring. Not sure it it flew out when I was taking it apart a few days ago and I just don't remember or what could have happened to it. Can you run without it?
ОтветитьI am not able to slide the shaft out. It seems to be stuck. Any recommendations?
ОтветитьThank You!!!! You are WONDERFUL!!!! The sound on my computer doesn't work but I could still follow. Can't thank you enough!!
ОтветитьSteve is the God of Appliance Repair
All Hail Steve
What’s the main symptoms for having to replace the clutch? Is there certain noise?
ОтветитьEvery time I lay my washer all the way down on it's back it knocks out the pins that hold the game together and that ruins the washer forever forever
ОтветитьYou don’t need to take cabinet off to change the clutch.
ОтветитьYou didn't tell about the clutch spring needing to be 180 of the brake spring when reinstalling the transmission.
ОтветитьVery well done. Thanks for the demonstration.
ОтветитьThanks you back in business
ОтветитьEverything is WAY TO CLEAN!!! Grease, grease and more grease!!!😮 Wear gloves !!!😅😂❤
ОтветитьThank you so much my man. I saved my grandmaw from needing to buy a new washer after I troubleshooted it. Your guide A+.
ОтветитьThanks for the help! Fantastic video. I could’ve figured it out without this video but it would’ve taken 10 times longer. Thank you!
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial ! Thanks
ОтветитьHELP!! Everything works but the spin cycle. I replaced the clutch. However, the drum only spins on the spin cycle when I have the washer laying on its side . When I stand it back in the up properly, it does NOT spin anymore. Why is this?
ОтветитьMy shaft will not come out as easy. Why is it hard to remove??
ОтветитьHow come my washer clutch assembly is hard to get out??
ОтветитьI ran into a problem that I never expected. There should be a video about this! The direct drive couplers in newer machines have steel shaft bushings. The older had plastic. I had a bad clutch and got to the coupler the half attached to the Transmission had a crack in the plastic. I tried to remove it. The bushing had seized to the Transmission. I used WD40 and soaked and pulled over a period of hours. The thing would not budge and all the plastic was destroyed up. I tried to pry it lose the seal in the transmission came out. In hindsight I should have drilled the bushing. I prefer the plastic couplers.
ОтветитьIt's possible to keep motor and tranny together to pull and install, but it's much heavier...
ОтветитьPerfect video. Just followed along with you and it came out great. Thanks!
Ответить12 years later and this video helped me fix my washing machine that had stopped spinning
ОтветитьExcellent video. I just want to know if the cabinet itself can be disassembled without damaging it. I have a lot of rust between the top of the cabinet and the sides and front. I don't know why.
ОтветитьRemounting all well and good IF it will SEAT properly. You did not cover that contingency!
ОтветитьVery informative. Thanks👍👍
ОтветитьThank you so much. Due to your excellent instructions, I was able to fix my dryer.
ОтветитьI love this guy.... he so calmly fixes everything. Has saved me so much money!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьThe hardest part was getting the cabinet back on!! Also, the little bolt at the top of the shaft rusted badly, an hour of fightingto remove.
ОтветитьDoes the clutch stop agitating ?
ОтветитьIt's 2024 and thank you for this video! I love my old school Kenmore washer and used this video to help me do a complete transmission and clutch replacement. It got a new timer about a year ago so I figured I was committed. I'll be back to drop another comment in 20 years!
ОтветитьWatching you do repairs is like watching Bob Ross paint. Very relaxing. However, I’d love to see some outtakes with you throwing tools and cursing with bloodied hands. Like how mine usually go 😉
ОтветитьWhat type of Channellock pliers are recommended for the eclips
ОтветитьThanks for this detailed video
ОтветитьThank you for the info
ОтветитьI'm stuck, the clutch assembly will not pull out. It slides out about an inch and a half and stops abruptly. I sprayed WD40 on the area around the end of the shaft inside the tub but no help. Any ideas?
ОтветитьThank you for an excellent video, this is the best repair video for any device that I have ever seen, keep up the great work!
ОтветитьLong shot but asking just in case. Just finished replacing this for washer not spinning. When putting the transmission back it had a small gap to where the bolts wouldnt fit. Tried everything but couldnt close the gap so i used different longer bolts. Its now spinning perfect but when it agitates its extremely loud. Any ideas if the the small gap is causing that or something else?
ОтветитьExcellent video! Do you really need to remove the whole case from the chassis? I guess for the purpose of illustration. Seems like this job can be done entirely from underneath.
Removing the case seems tantamount to removing the hood and fenders from your car, when you're just going to put it on a lift and replace the clutch from underneath.
Than you for your video good sir
ОтветитьQuestion:
How do I diagnose an irregular, not frequent water leak.
Can occur at any water level.
Have had a technician check 3 times and it never leaks for him.
Thanks.
Something you should note on here is to remove agitator BEFORE ordering parts. My bolt head stripped off so I am stuck.
ОтветитьVery helpful video. Well done, A+
ОтветитьWhy can't you lay down the washing machine directly to go to the clutch from the bottom?
