Meet Cap 'n Trade

The CAP is just a scheme for people to make money selling credits, the credits do nothing to add value to the end product. The US will not be given enough credits to manufacture at current levels and will be forced to buy credits from countries who have nothing because they are run by dictatorships not because they were somehow cheated. Global welfare best describes this scheme. At least India and China are smart enough to know a scheme when they see one.

Dude, I probably have more anti-war posts than you. War is just another example of government interference just like a tax on air. Ironically our government will probably use "climate change" as an excuse to invade another county and fund more war.. We need less government.

I'm also against the bailouts and stimulus. Check out Peter Schiff and Ron Paul. You make these wild assumptions, If you see my past videos you can tell I've felt this way for a while. I didn't vote for McCain or Obama, I voted for the only guy who was anti-bailout anti-stimulus and anti-war.

It will not be implemented in the US, but the rest of the world. The world will finally get fed up with your BS and kick your ass out of UN, NATO ect. Then as you no longer have any allies. China will not be afraid of collecting all your stuff since you never pay your debt. Are you sure thats the right way to go?

they don't, they'll have to pay for the trades through higher prices, the industry won't pay a dime, it's a tax on the poorest of the poor because they'll have to pay higher heat and electricity.

So create an artificial market so that members of third world countries will just not progress... They will have zero incentive to progress/... money will go to their dictatorial leaders ... and allow them to enslave their own people ... great. Paying for something that doesnt actually exist will cause stagflationary pressures akin to those experiences during the Carter administration( an artificial supply shock). Brilliant.

Now throw this in to the so-called "Benefits" that everybody would get! Each company lowers emissions, stop producing as much, cleaner air. But for every single one of those companies, They have to do something else. Hmmm, I wonder what that could be? Try higher prices for the services, products and pass them on to the consumer. Hey, That's You and Me! They have to take the bite somewhere. And that "somewhere" is you! Fat cats get fatter, our accounts go lower. NO THANKS!

@johnnybravo234 The companies lower emissions to meet the cap. This is where they make a cut into how much product they produce. They can't as much, they have to make up for that loss revenue somewhere. Where is that "benefit" you're asking about? Try this: Higher Cost For "Product". And this is everything from food, cars, GAS, services, Everything! The Tax Payer doesn't benefit in this scheme. They do! Because you and I have nothing to "Trade".

the amount of pollution that is puropoted to be is not even close to what mother nature produces ..... hence why worry?? it's all about reducing the might of the industrialized nations and making them share the wealth instead of prompting third world nations to invest in technology and produce their own food stuffs.... and other products so they don't depend on the us.

Can someone tell me the answer to this question? I have searched quite a bit but all I could get were vague answers such as, "offshore bank accounts" Whether or not you believe in global warming, what is the money they are taxing us going towards? Have they discovered the fix and they just need a ton of money to buy the ice to put back at the poles? Have they invented a worldwide heater or air conditioner to change the global climate? Have they found a way to keep the water from rising/falling?

He forgot to mention that the pies are not free. So when the pies get too expensive at ole Cap and Trade's shop, they will just move on to a different that doesn't have a cap. Poor Cap and Trade looses his sons and dies a lonely old man.

@commonsensewins1 CO2 my friend is a pollutant, it has negative effects to the human body. It is also used by trees to create oxygen but there is abundance of carbon than there are trees to convert it into oxygen.

There seems to be one Huge, BIG piece he left out!!!! With emissions there is not a set number of CO2 atoms sitting in a shop to be used. Companies can/ will be able to go over their "10 pie limit" for example and the govt will simply tax them on the extra pies. The companies will be more than willing to go over because as we know most companies will be effected by this and all that extra tax they pay to produce whatever will simply be added to the cost of the service or product.

Companies won't try and reduce their emmissions. They'll just move their operations to other countries that don't enforce cap and trade. Meanwhile, the seller of the "pies" (the government) will make money off a completely arbitrary commodity...

this guy is a fucking idiot to the umpteenth degree ..... he forgets to mention that the 4 boys will be taxed for the pies and the pies that are created will be taxed at every level of production (flour tax, water tax, sugar tax, baking tax, packaging tax, delivery tax ...every single level of production .... by the the time you get the pie you wont be able to afford it ....production will come to a screeching hault ... prices will double and triple.

Irony and paradox, catch 22. We have an oil based economy. The dollar is printed by use of federally issued security bonds. The dollar represents only a few cc of oil. New technology such as N-generator and magnaheterodynamic reflex dynamo (prototype in my garage) are actively subjected to search and destroy tactics sponsored by our own government (via CIA) to preserve the value of oil! - we work against our own interest as a society.

What is to be said about people who care only about collecting sea shells as a tsunami races towards the shore? I have never heard such furious anger in my life than that which comes from a climate denier: someone who would jeopardize the future of the species, for the sake of maintaing the oil cartel's current global hegemony for just a few years more. Cap and Trade a completely mande up market place that produces no goods or services. The whole purpose is force the migration of industry from the developed nations to the "developing" nations who by the Kyoto Accord are exempt from Co2 production limits. Thes include China and India.

The only reason to use any system for taxing carbon output would be to channel 100% of the revenue above the personnel costs needed to administer this program toward alternative energy companies in the form of grants to ensure that the money goes to worthy directions and experiments and trial and error. After all, the only reason why people are concerned is that carbon is leading to global warming, right? Why tax if the entire revenue stream doesn't go to creating a solution for this?

Why do you care so much about what another country does? That doesn't make pollution any less wrong. It doesn't make our climate future any less dire. It doesn't lessen the ecological debt we are passing on to the next generation.

"Government solve our pollution problems" - what a joke. Oh yes, government cares about the environment, not about money and control. This WILL NOT make companies reduce emissions. Companies will move their operations to other countries that do not enforce cap and trade. This will leave Americans (and other industrialized countries) with less jobs / prosperity, and the environment not one bit improved. It's a joke, it's a scam.

Control the thermostat in your house because of "AGW".

Tax you by the mile with a black box in your car because of "AGW".

Shut down our energy plants, making the price of electricity higher for the consumer because of "AGW".. and many more lovely tyrannical intrusions of basic freedoms.
