ОтветитьHi Ryan, seeing as your open to experimenting, would you try taking Seitan as n source of protein, for all the vegans out there? Seitan is just cooked vital wheat gluten and water, and I know you said in another video about diet something along the lines of, who the fuck eats vital wheat gluten. And I know it sounds bad but apparently if your not gluten intolerant or have celliac disease there shouldn't be any adverse effects to eating it. Apparently this stuff has 75g of protein per 100 grams of cooked seitan, and if that's true, that a fuckinglot. Essentially seitan is just flour with the starch/carbs removed. From what I can tell (from my limited research aka googling) it's a bit low in lysine, but I haven't seen it's complete amino acid profile.
I started taking it recently, by making it into a smoothie, with some plain cooked seitan and water and a little bit of banana or avocado (to add some lysine, and potassium) and a pinch of salt for sodium.
I'll let you know how it goes, unless I die from shitting out my own bowels or something.... but so far so good

ОтветитьSo glad I stopped believing the bulk myth. I’m vegan and have been choking down 3500 calories of nothing but tofu, rice, beans, peanut butter, snack bars, and shakes. I’m now 190 and 14%. My question is how are you taking in a gram of protein for each pound of body weight (required to build muscle), on 3 shakes and two meals?

ОтветитьEasier said than done. Believe me, Im in the middle of trying to be a vegan, body recomp getting enough protein and be at a calorie deficit at the same time, build and lose, its damn near impossible.

Okay I think I'm probably there but the problem is Im measuring my protein by grams relative to my body weight (as discussed elsewhere in your vids) so how do I figure out how many calories are coming from my protein? Every nutritional listing I see just mentions the grams/weight, not the percentage of calories in the food or product.

ОтветитьI was 210 lbs in October 2023, and now 178 lbs, no workouts most days. 90% of the time, 1 meal a day. My whole life, skinny body until I got an easy job, the reason for 210 @5'10 and was really belly fat. Now, at @42 and almost 43, I want to work out. However, my energy level is not there kinda sucks.
