Where in the world did you find that?
I think I want one. Lol
It looked like it could tip just by closing the valve - too risky for me!
ОтветитьI think I’d just go with a flask and a sandwich tbh…
ОтветитьI absolutely NEED! I have that same 350ml keith mug and plenty of those butane cans to use. Thank you Paul.
ОтветитьJust bought one, youre an influencer paul ! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьGreat video. I didn’t see a eBay link to this item
ОтветитьAmerican Amazon sells this canister under the Camping Moon brand along with several other versions. Straight butane doesn’t work as well as isobutane in colder weather so keep that in mind.
ОтветитьAll good. Good to have back up stove, a lantern and little stove to just heat up a brew. A cold wet walking day and a hot cup of coffee under a shelter is just the thing, maybe a soup packet. Nothing serious but very good. You still have options of gas to test out.
Ответитьhey Paul, I bought similar from camping moon (the original manuf I believe) I got the larger one, it takes 115 grams of gas, using their adaptor, more than in the smallest jetboil cannister, It is quite heavy, but as I kayak camp not so much an issue. I use one of the ubiquitous grey pot and lid sets, with a silicone collapsible travel coffee mug, eBay stove in its box plus s2s plastic cutlery set. All packed in a homemade pouch. it weighs in roughly the same as my jetboil knockoff with cannister, steel mug and folding knife fork and spoon (like yours), but takes up less space. if I backpack I'll substitute a jetboil cannister, cheers Peter
ОтветитьLove the little cooker... Better than pussers hexiblocks... Lol 😂
ОтветитьIf you put the empty gas canister in the freezer for half an hour and then fill it, you’ll get more gas in it
ОтветитьDefinitely great for a single person brew up on a walk out. Tiny kit makes it appealing 👍
Ответитьyou can find metal windbreakers for that stove that take up no room and will make it 50% more efficient, and on that windy day its a lifesaver .. extreme winds too... yup vented just perfectly
Ответитьi love these little brew kits. keep 'em coming!
Ответить100 gram Jetboil cannister is available in Australia.
ОтветитьGot one myself for when I go sea swimming. Replaced my alcohol stove. Really good piece of kit.
ОтветитьLove you lad but your wrong Coleman F1 check it out your cannister is so tiny it's pointless if you have refill every time you brew up it's madness get a grip man we can take everything to the enth degree but there's a point we have to check our sanity😅
ОтветитьStick it in the freezer and also maybe stick the donor in the freezer too for a few hours.
ОтветитьCheck out the Soto Hinoto SOD-260. It's actually a small gas lantern, but the base can be used as a tiny gas canister
ОтветитьHow long does it burn for ??? any idea.??
ОтветитьAs you say, ok to keep in your bag as a back up
ОтветитьPaul can you say where you got the tiny bottle as i can not find it on ebay
ОтветитьBut, could it boil enough water for an instant meal, couple of teas/coffees and an instant porridge? UL overnighter?
ОтветитьHave you ever thought about testing what the breaking point of ordinary gas cans, the 100 g ones. What can happen when they burst? I've not seen any hiking channels test this, but I'm conscious about what could be the case if the worst things happened.
ОтветитьI liked it. For a daytrip its handy.
ОтветитьGreat video, Paul
My smallest brew kit is an alcohol stove kit from Amazon with the name Phantom on it with the stove, stand and wind shield. Combined with the Trangia T,cup. Small but works a treat.
BRS for life!
ОтветитьNice, but 350ml is not sufficient to boil enough water for a trekking meal. 450ml or 500ml will always be my choice for minimum sized gear . But if you only look into having a brew in the park, that’s fine
Ответитьit only holds that much of any gas you will fill in it !....the 35g refillable canister is much bigger. I got me a refillable gascanister from a company called "campingmoon" and the description told you that you can fill up 15g of gas. It is the same size as your one from mountainhiker.
ОтветитьThat’s such a neat bit of kit, actually useful for the car in the glove box!
ОтветитьI agree with you Paul great little bit of kit ideal just to make a coffee or boil some water for a dehydrated meal think I might get my self one already got the kraku so just need the canister and pot, keep the great work up with video’s, have you even come across the wild country coshee micro would love a video on it looks interesting
ОтветитьItll just fall over !
ОтветитьWhere do you get the Keith cups from? I need one!!
ОтветитьI love that you can screw in a tripod for stability! I wish the regular canisters could do that
ОтветитьLooks heat but I think I would use only the fuel tank combined with my Soto windmaster and obviously just for a day hike.
ОтветитьLooks a great bit of kit mez, all the best muz
Ответитьvery nice the mini canister
ОтветитьToo small for me. I live in constant fear of not having enough gas for the last brew of a trip! I do like the idea of being able to screw a tripod on the bottom of the cannister. As always, thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьClever. I watched yo,ur video about Hilleberg Unna and in general I agree with you. But it depends on how its used just like you say. I use it only on short trips but sometimes I go to northern lapland in sweden and those times I am mosty out for 2-3 weeks, then I need something much more sturdy. I migt have a Hilleberg black label and also a bigger tent, its just imposssible to trust weather for a longer time and you also need more gear in general for extended trips. I have a Hilleberg Saitaris, very heavy but also very reliable. My backpack have been over 35 kg but I make short daily walk, only 5-7 km then I make a basecamp when I find a nice spot.
ОтветитьQuite interesting device, but I'm curious about how many gas it loses during screwing on and unscrewing the burner.
Ответить“……but it’s not a review!” 😂😂😂
ОтветитьJesus christ. They're really runing out for more junk. Talking about compulsive buying. But, oh well, they made it refilable at least.
ОтветитьAs the canister weighs the same empty and holds only enough fuel for one boil, I'll pass. The 3.9oz isobutane canister can be refilled with propane or isobutane when empty with the adapters I bought on AliExpress.
ОтветитьThat's awesome for a quick brew. But i'll be buggered if i can find it! Any chance of a linky Paul?
ОтветитьIt's clearly the smallest ahaha. Could be nice for an overnight or 2. "not winter".
ОтветитьI got the 35g one. I got 24 mins out of it on a jetboil stove with jet boil fuel indoors. Stuck canister in freezer overnight. This now means I can stick the jet boil pot stand and ithe lid closes properly which it never did with the standard 100g canister. I also got enough room for coffee sugar in the jet boil too. I also have the jet boil coffee filter. Did I mention the lid closes now. That was always my so annoying the lid not closing. Now it does. Happy days. Thanks for this little discovery
ОтветитьHi there, sorry may i´m blind, but did you might have a Link for that tiny canister as i unfort. can´t find it as ´ Mountain Hiker Mini Gas Canister ´ ( some little bigger / heavier one on A oder ´ Ali ´ but not that one ) - i think as add. ´ Gas Back up ´ to my normally used UL spirit ´ water boiling ´ - System it´s not bad - you infect me ! ;) Sorry for my bad english, best rgds. from Germany to the UK - wish you all a good time near end of the season ! :)
ОтветитьCheers Paul I have get one just waiting for it to be delivered pal lol
ОтветитьI think you and the Pathfinder guy might have a very good product idea there: tiny, complete coffee, tea or plain boiling system.
