Nioh: How to Beat Tachibana Muneshige BOSS

Just completed this boss fight, took me 2 hours 😅

Even using sloth......TWICE, he still wrecked my shit! Dunno, man. He's beat me now about 30 times (lost count) so I'll try a couple more then come back when I'm at lvl 200+ then I might have a small chance!

I GOT SOMTHING BETTER USE THE AXE HEAVY ATTACK AND YOU WILL BEAT HIM NO PROBLEM MY BUDDY AND I BEAT HIM THAT WAY JUST GO UP TO HIM PRSS TRIANGLE WITH THE AXE OVERHEAD HEAVY also when he doea his running slash just run then run up to him and axe heavy

i finally did it after 30-35 deaths, he is by far stronger than every boss in sekiro, i never played darksouls, but this boss is so fking insane he is doing absolutely random shit that kills you with just one fking hit, i dont think thats fair what happens because you cant read this enemie i tried and tried it just waited to have a lucky match against him... but at least im fking happy!.. good luck guys

FUCK THIS GUY!!!!!!!!! He keeps coming like a bath salt addled homeless junkie and he has stamina that comes back faster than yours can. I even tried the rock cheese and it did little!

Honestly, I just used the rock in the corner to only punish his charge attacks and low stamina. Takes a while but slow and steady wins the race.

Easiest boss ever

Just stick to the Rock on the left and use it to hide behind it, it will block his attacks. Use a long range weapon when he gets in reach and is open and immediately keep your distance again. It could take a while but be patient, because it is faster than dying 100 times. After dying 2 times I beat him with this strategy on my overall 4th try I think without looking anything up.

Let the boss tire himself out and counterattack.
This fight felt like one very difficult tutorial.

While he’s not necessarily harder, he’s more unfair than other hard bosses like Sigrun and Isshin. I was level 34 and getting one shotted.

Only took 20 years but I finally beat him with dual swords on high stance, dodge his quick strikes then three strikes right after

Bro I hate bosses with super armor if he didn't have super armor the boss would be much easier.

Finally beat him after around 30-40 tries. I didn’t count. I used spear in mid stance and the only armor I had was the boots and legs that focuses on Ki and agility.

I had trouble with this one for a while and learning that you can dodge through his iai slashes basically got me the win

His damage is cheap but god is he a thrill

This guy is really tough, but I managed to beat him today after roughly 10-15 tries with a level around early 30s by beating him at his own game (i.e. no cheesing). He's pretty fair once you learn how he works, but there's minimal room for error. I used a spear and equipment that had +lightning (combo of Raging Bull and Warrior of the West, can be found through sub missions), which I think helped since he uses lightning attacks.

You can attack once or twice after every block of a single strike (not iai draw or charged combo), and use a parry in mid stance for a free hut. He'll run out of stamina, which is when you pounce with grapple or downed strikes. His familiar can be dodged by running away, same goes for his iai draw (which apparently can be rolled through).

It seriously tests your skills with timing, stamina management and attacking, but with that said, be prepared to lose, but know that you can and will win.

Just beat this guy after an hour jesus talk about an unfair fight, you can't stagger him during any of the abilities he uses and he can perma dodge and shoot arrows even when out of ki. If anything this guy is a test of patience cause you just have to wait for him to waste his ki to punish him AND you have to run him in circles any time he pulls out lightning because for some reason his pet gets to attack you TWICE and from off screen and if you get hit from it you pretty much have no chance at getting attacks in on him and dodging is much more difficult till the debuff runs out. Fuck this boss if I got to use living weapon I would have probably beaten him second or third try.

God i love when a game that gives me limited stamina puts me against a crackhead who doesnt get tired after swinging 500 times. At least they were smart enough to put that rock there to cheese him

I had success using Yokai water pots (to block his Ki regen) with the rock cheese. Odachi's Groundquake is a decent ki drainer.

This mission was actually my favorite farming spot in 'Way of the Demon'. Just shoot him in the head at the beginning, do a final blow, debuff him with sloth, cast Daiba-Washi via Guardian Talismans to knock him down again, final blow, cast Daiba-Washi again, rinse and repeat. That's it, lmao. I didn't even have overpowered weapons yet (obviously). I did it with a 150+10 Odachi. Cheap, yes, but that makes it efficient for Amrita farming. Also, let's be real: Muneshige is the definition of a cheap boss fight anyway. I can't believe that he caused me more issues than Orphan of Kos, Demon of Hatred or Ornstein, but only because he's so cheap.

Yeah, this doesn't work anymore. He tracks your movements during the animations faster than your character tracks him.

This piece of shit just wouldn’t stop spamming his bitch ass pet and at the same time doing his piece of shit one hit kill slash move, just when he was one hit away from being killed after my 60+ attempt easily. Fuck this cunt and whoever designed him. I’m just glad I got this poopoo game for free. Cheers

why are these fights so fucking stupid. the dash move happens at random timings and takes all ki to block which leads you to getting oneshot. sure i can memorize the obscure fucking timing like dude in video but why should i put the effort in to learn moves with literally no telegraph. this game is trying to waste time ffs

Try fight him on pc on low level press dodge but he wont dodge, fucking bandai namco responsive shit

This fight took me a good couple hours of trial and error to finally beat. It was so satisfying I replayed it to beat him again. For those using kusarigama. I recommend low stance light attacks. Get behind him to stun lock him for the duration of your combo. The many rapid hits of the kusarigama makes it easy to apply elemental damage. I recommend fire or poison for the damage over time. When he's blocking, quickly switch to high stance light attack to deplete his Ki. Once you break his guard, get him on the ground and switch to your hardest hitting weapon for a final blow. I also used ninjitsu for easy long-range hits.

I know I'm late...but i beat this A-hole by playing hide and seek by the big rock...

The easiest way to kill which i did kill him in the first 15 minutes is by being away from and letting use all of his stamina then with an odachi use the earthquake attack and deal alot of damage each successful one without a combo deals 700 damage in an AOE attack a successful combo can make him lose about 30% of his health with a Good odachi just watch out for his attack and with careful dogding and movement he can easily go down, if you don't know what an odachi is its a type of sword you can learn the skill from the odachi skill menu

This dude makes isshin seem like a tutorial boss for children 😅 it’s insane

Good video tutorial but ...

- Using the rock to bait out the quick-draw slash and then punishing him is fairly easy but slow.

- The properly distanced quick-draw sword slash when he's running at you will typically cause him to dodge to the side and attempt to shot you with his bow. The great thing about this is that the sword slash will still hit him in his bow animation.

Here's the pro tip ...

Once he's out of KI don't grapple (stab) him but instead you want to quick-draw slash him causing him to fall you the ground for a longer period of time allowing you to position your character directly behind him.

Since he's human, you can use the quick-draw slash from behind (cancelled with the bow animation) to repeatedly keep him pinned to the ground causing massive damage with the possibility of a no-hitter. This tactic makes this fight so much quicker and easier 😉

Also, another strategy is to try to use Kato (Moment Talisman) till you attach fire damage then knock him to the ground and switch to Kusarigama with the water buff to get confusion for a quick kill. Sounds easily than it real is but it's worth a try 👹

3rd night of trying this guy, finally it’s done

Didn’t use the paralysis trick since I didn’t wanna go do the tutorial and instead waste 1million attempts.

Be careful when he is at 30%. He attacks 3 times and his pup can jump twice. One heavy swing at a time and don't be greedy
