I get why you voted for Trump. I’m glad Ross is free…..it’s however wishful thinking to expect anything else from Trump interms of government spending given his track record. I was hopeful when Elon came in with Doge but quickly realized they are all a bunch of clowns. erratically firing everybody and rehiring. He might’ve uncovered some waste but We all know where the big fish is interms of government waste. Doge didn’t even go anywhere near those big budget items. It’s all a clown show. It's unfortunate that neither Thomas Massie nor Rand Paul are Speaker of the House. I don't know what the trade off is for that position. Given that the current speaker is insane, we can't do any worse. Also the pendulum may swing back hard in 2026, pushing the Republicans out of both houses of Congress.

Matthew, what happens to the world when USA defaults on its debt? How does this affect the rest of the world when all currencies are based on the $US, do they all become worthless and lastly how does bitcoin fix this if you don't have any? I understand that satoshis are divisible but how will the great reset work?

Another way to look at scrapping the debt ceiling (and I'm not for it) is that it will eliminate the political theater surrounding it when congress NEVER fails to raise it anyway.
