Cervelo R5-CX Build

Is it possible to put a 2x chain ring on a bike like this? I've had the same idea of using a cx bike for endurance too but would want to be able to get a 50t chainring on there.

Im not super into road bikes, but I see what your issue is. You have quite an "agressive" position on the bike. Long, slammed and like a race-y geometry. Which from my understanding, is almost always the opposite of what endurance bikes should be? Cool that you found a happy medium in going with a CX bike. Lovely paint also

The “ Jackson “ brakes would have to be called “Thrillers “ . You’re wondering every time you pull them if there’s still any battery left. obviously there’s a mid level version of these brakes.

Love the bar tape. Not sure that the bike will be comfortable. Not exactly the intention of a cx bike.

Best channel out there! Love every one of your builds. First of I can't wait to order that bar tape! And it looks absolutely 🔥 on that with the purple! I'm also a huge fan of using a cross bike as my road bike as there significantly lighter than gravel bikes and are a bit more twitchy making it more road like. But you get the benefits of a slighter longer wheel base, I use my trek boone and never have any issues of the feeling of a high bb. If anything I feel more "in the bike" than my tarmac sl7. And it's lighter than my sl7 😅

I'm not an expert on geometry, but I'd be surprised if 7mm of bb drop made that big a difference. It's not like people say they feel like they are floating over the bike when they ride a 32 instead of a 25mm tire.
