Just watched your latest adventure in the snow during recent snow, sorry to say you fall into the category all the gear but very little idea. Both out of the tent footprints could have been infilled, your mate left the tent without getting his outer layer on then wrestled with it , as for your descent ? Brutal was a word you used Stupid , inept would be more suited, beware the mountains will bite you back when you fail to respect them
ОтветитьWatching you from the USA. My area is experiencing 3 ft of snow with white out conditions and, about 18° f. But me, I'm home in the comfort of my warm bed, but my hats off to both of you for your bravery and your strength to do what you love. God bless both of you.
ОтветитьHi Allen as always you give a great storm for holidays makes 3 yrs in row ... that tent failed what kept it going you and your friends experience plus you know what to expect on these mountain tops a better spot to pitch would of been helpful
but conditions had gone to extreme poor experience kept you safe a better tent need sleek to divert wind flow which was down flow much fastener colder wind believe it or not upwinds warmer due to flow upward friction crazy science love the rock climb I be taking crazy samples thanks for the awesome storm video🥶( the beer also saved you)
Love these but admit it turns my stomach sometimes since am terrified by heights
ОтветитьGood Lord you two are frickin crazy!😂 One wrong move and it's over!😂 I'm holding my breath watching this!🤣
ОтветитьSuperb!!!
ОтветитьI guess you all don't know alcohol causes dehydration.
ОтветитьI flew back to the UK in Storm Darragh, never again! Scary!
ОтветитьI wouldn't want to dig a cat hole in those rocks in that weather and do a number two. A number one would be bad enough but necessary after drinking beer!!
ОтветитьGoing to go winter camping this winter just waiting to see what Santa brings before I go lol 😂
ОтветитьHi Al. Long time no talkee. Well, this was a challenge for the best of the them. This is wild camping with a capital ‘W’! The things you do to entertain us fireside supporters. Glad you left Blue at home as well! Awful, awful weather but glad you both made it through he storm safely. Looks really enjoyable, but risky to say the least and not one for those who are inexperienced in such conditions. Personally, I thought your Storm Barra adventure 3 years ago looked a bit more challenging being stuck for 2 days in the tent with Blue. Either way, both treks looked amazing. Thanks for uploading. Take care out there and keep ‘em comin!
ОтветитьRe your beers, they all tend to taste the same at low temperatures. You may as well have taken 4 cans of Carling for that trip. Great video and love seeing you push yourself to the limit in extreme conditions. I once camped at -4C in Scotland during the beast from the East but that was on a campsite at sea level and the campsite had a heated toilet block that I spent the evening in before getting into the tent!! :)
ОтветитьYou need a better tent watch the OutdoorGearReview
ОтветитьAbsolutely fantastic Video pal, great to see Andy absolutely loving it. Unreal conditions. Well in fellas
ОтветитьFjällräven tents are highly underrated!
ОтветитьNice to see you two mates testing life and sharing it with everyone 👍
ОтветитьWalking poles would definitely have been and advantage. Even one each.
ОтветитьThought you would welcome a hot drink to warm your core rather than cold beer.
Ответитьabsolutely brilliant video..very gripping action and glad you both stayed safe..
ОтветитьPretty hostile lookingg
ОтветитьNot sure the business with the beers. A hot drink surely would be better.
ОтветитьWhere is your baby blue 💙 love your show. From Dallas Texas 🎉❤
ОтветитьAnother adventure up in the icy highlands. We hope to see these regular adventures to places that otherwise we could not and would not experience. Our thanks once again.
ОтветитьHi guys. You speak frequently of safety. I have just one question because your choice of tent is interesting: The Hilleberg Saivo 3 BL weighs in at 5.1Kgs against the FjallRaven Keb Dome at 4.75Kgs. The FjallRaven costs about £1,000 and the Hilleberg double that. So if it’s down to the £€$s only, your tent choice is obvious. But you were going out to camp on a summit in the midst of a hurricane and your FjallRaven only just made it by the looks of it. Wouldn’t the indestructible Hilleberg have been a safer bet?
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤Good Nickname 😮
Ответить.. and when it will be the episode with the real beer? :))
ОтветитьHell of a steep trail, awesome 🇬🇧🇺🇸🍻
ОтветитьHi Yorkshire English guys 🤣😆😃
ОтветитьGreat video. You handily labelled most of your kit....but what was that blue hoodie and would you recommend?
ОтветитьNo pressure in your life now and I bet you'll get a better night's sleep x
Ответитьme and my 11 year old daughter spend our quality time together watching your videos, we came across one accidentaly and became obsessed! she loves blue and gets so excited to watch him every video! it was great seeing you with somebody else, really enjoyed this one! well done🏆❤
ОтветитьWhat a great video great banter too going to sub you
Ответитьwhy did you not have a tent with a proper bottom on it ?
Ответитьwhat a crazy fun night loved the video!
ОтветитьYou saved the best to last “life & death”. What a great adventure, brilliant vid👍
ОтветитьCrampons vs micro spikes? You will I’m sure of talked about this previously but not seen that, pros cons, what have you used that worked well?
I’m a huge fan of the lightness and quality of PHD gear
I think this kind of a hike just shows that not only do you need the correct equipment, knowledge, expertise but also the mountain fitness otherwise you could get into serious trouble!
ОтветитьI have the same the same Fenix head torch.
Great piece of kit. I especially like the 5 lumens mode. Enough to see things, without loosing night vision.
Guys,
Just to show my incompetence… I used to be on the dynamic front edge of the Quality wave inc all things survival winter situations. But what are those little white rectangles dancing in your tent I’ve not seen those before?
As always thank you for sharing your experiences and values
Kindest Peace
Mountain goats you are. Bonnie.
ОтветитьNice Video !
ОтветитьWas this worst then storm Arwen?
Ответитьi have been camping plenty of times in the mountains of scotland, even in the summer it could be dangerous if bad weather shows up, hidden cracks and bogs. in the winter it's just madness but beautyfull
ОтветитьGeez. A lot more technical downclimbing that stack. That could become a really technical downclimb in the dark, heavy rain, snow or it gets iced up. Bad weather could stop you getting down that. Keep boots in tent. Just saying.
ОтветитьWhy???
ОтветитьThat looks a fantastic adventure , hope your sleeping bags were warm , at least you made it home safe and sound . Every time I camp in the hills , it always rains but no snow .
ОтветитьPersonally I would have brought an ice axe.
ОтветитьThis was the first video I watched from this channel - really enjoyed this. Nicely done, fellas
ОтветитьI live at the foot of Cruach na Miseag, pronounced Croo-ach (ch as in loch) nah Mish-aig which is Gaelic meaning ‘Stack of the Goats’. The concrete blocks were a ratchet railway used during the building of the Loch Sloy Dam.
