Do you have any actual proof it's the loudest? Seems like a scam to me. If you were an actual "Doctor" Like you claim you would have used something to measure the db levels instead of just taking a few steps back. rofl

I have owned and used  both the Windstorm and Storm. The WINDSTORM is my choice because I don't have the volume of air, Lung Capacity, to give the STORM optimum efficiency.The WINSTORM has been my preference because it has been heard above the noise of all emergency equipment converging around and near me.I came upon this demonstration as I was trying to find a vendor to purchase a few more WINDSTORMS.

"Loudest whistle in the world" is a great claim, but I'd like to see some stats and some comparison to other whistles. Besides, that's a HUGE claim considering a train's whistle can be heard for miles!

I've had a Storm for jeez... 25 years? I remember buying it with my allowance money. I carry it everyday in my EDC kit. It's very loud! I have to plug my ears if I want to give it a toot.

I have to ask, will this whistle deter a bear or aggressive dog? Has that been tested? I LOVE that it's from St. Louis, MO being that I'm from Kirkwood :)

Bicycle guy here. Had to try an upgrade from my other(s). Easier to grab - especially with gloves - and really audible through auto glass. Super affordable.

This whistle is VERY loud and durable. I don't know the decibel level but it is ear piercing. Much better then a bike horn or bell.

So how many decibels is it, the Hyper Whistle hits 143 on the scale, why don't you prove it with a decibel meter, to me that would be the best way to sell your whistle imo. if it's really the loudest in the world PROVE IT, I think the Hyper Whistle is louder PROVE ME WRONG I'll buy one!!

I direct traffic for a local school. The first whistle I used was 126 dB and drivers with their windows up and music playing would ignore it. I bought a Storm. I now wear ear protection in case I have to use it.

One of the neighbors (a former deputy sheriff) lives 2 1/2 blocks away and can hear it inside his house when I have to get someone’s attention.

I also have a Hyper. It is louder than the Storm. BUT- holding the Hyper in my mouth for an hour makes my jaws hurt. The Storm is PLENTY loud enough for me.

Just got a call from a guy who needed a new Storm Whistle. He said it saved his life in Afghanistan. He was a British Soldier and while on patrol he got pinned down by cross fire from the Taliban. Diving behind a wall, his radio was destroyed and all he had was a Storm Whistle to call for help. He told me as bullets were fly all around him, he blew the whistle. It took about ten minutes but his fellow soldiers showed up, laid down a ton of return fire and saved his life. They told him, they heard the Storm whistle and that is how they knew where he was and that he was alive.

Weather storm whistle

I ordered this from amazon, and I'm surprised that it's not loud and my random not brand Chinese whistle is much louder than the Storm Whistle.
Even the quality is not good. it's about two peaices of plastic stuck together without binding, so the air got out from between the two parts

My name is Howard Wright inventor of the storm whistle. I was at Dentist for 20 years working downtown St. Louis. Me dedico al senderismo, y varias ocasiones han sido de gran ayuda, en donde los gritos se pierden, donde no hay señales de radio, estos silvatos nos han ayudado mucho. Compré un paquete de 3 silvatos, uno lo perdí, otro lo regalé a un compañero de senderismo, y uno más a un instructor de kayak. Ahora voy a comprar más, no tengo duda de lo bien que funcionan y lo seguro que me hacen sentir en el bosque, mar y en ríos.

I have the Original Storm WHISTLE. Honestly, I never liked The Ergonomics of it. It doest feel comfortable in the finger grip mode. But I kept it, because of what it does. I think it may not hold the Record for the loudest WHISTLE anymore, but that doesn't matter . Hope your still around and doing Well!
