If that fight with Meragali were at WNO, Meregali would have won bc of the back take, aggressiveness and submission attempts. You can tell the mentality of an jj athlete when they say stuff like: "if i could just survive that blitz, and not get scored on, i had good back take defense, and I got good triangle defense". Glad Meragali dumped ibjjf, their ruleset is a joke.

Watch Keenan vs Trovo from Pans 2022, his only match since 2020... Keenan has cross-ashi with double trouble, and loses the position trying to leg lace as a submission. Lots of bizarre decisions.
