Good looking plants.
ОтветитьYour peppers look awesome! I sometimes grow two peppers together in one container. I have a chocolate habanero that I'm in love with though, so that got its own personal 5 gal bucket :) :P But all of my jalapenos and bananas and anaheims are two per bucket. Peppers are the best! Great peppers and great video! Cheers
ОтветитьThanks Gary! For another great jalapeno recipe, stuff them with a bit of cheese, roll them in Panko crumbs, and lightly fry them. Soooo good!
ОтветитьPeppers look great Gary! I dig the bottomless container method. Cool vid :)
ОтветитьGary,
Looking forward to a "long" video on your current tomato situation. I love all your videos, but tomatoes are closest to my heart. My Super Sweet 100 cherry that I spoke of in a previous comment section of a vid of yours continues to amaze. However, the fruit is still green. Is that normal for this time of year for a ss100? (I live in southern NJ, not sure what zone that is, but reasonably close to yours in terms of overall climate.) Gave all plants about a handful of epsom salt today and watered it in. First time I did that since planting in late may/early june,Time for another handfull of pelletized "lawn" lime? ZERO BER so far!!! (big issue last year. Had no idea till I found your channel)
Great looking plants Gary! Do you spray the pepper leaves with epsom salt as you do for tomatoes? And how often?
ОтветитьNice pepper garden
ОтветитьWow those are all so neat, healthy and organized. Would it be okay if I planted a bell pepper and a jalapeño pepper in the same 7gal grow bag (both transplants)?
ОтветитьHI Gary, Thanks you for encouraging video. It would have been more helpful if you can show what to feed.. I have planted Tabasco, Scotch bonnet, Bhut Jolokia, Jalapeno, Wiri Wiri, Green Bell, Chili Red, and Italian hot peppers. I got all of these from the local nursery. They were very healthy when planted in 1st week of May. Most of them are half size compared to your plants. some of them have yellow leaves and some with puckered leaves. I checked well and all my plants are bug free. All the plants are in pots with Kellogs potting soil (this is the first year i bought this soil. I may not buy this soil in future). I tested the soil for fertility and gauge shows below zero. I started feeding Miracle grow liquid fertilizer since 3 weeks. Now I see Tabasco started buds and other plants are dropping every single bud. Can you please suggest what I can do to have my plants take off and give me some fruits. I am in zone 6B. thank you for your help. .. Sudha.
ОтветитьGreat peppers 🌶! I have 9 types this year and I really enjoy pickling them for use in sandwiches, salads and burgers.
Ответитьwow, love the variety. I'm looking at my peppers and they are turning black! what do I do? I vaguely remember you saying something about that but don't remember what exactly. Love this video! blessings
ОтветитьLooks great. I was lazy this year, I've done nothing. 🌶🌶🌶
ОтветитьThanks for the vid, another great insight. I'm so far behind here in uk, still potting into final pots with slow growth and curled leaves. Just hoping I get some crop even if later in the year.
ОтветитьI have a lot of jalapeño peppers but my bell peppers are slow this year, I also grow multiple pepper plants in the same container and they produce quicker then the single peppers in containers
ОтветитьSuperb video. I have banana peppers, a jalpenio, a habanero, something called a coolapio (mild jalpenio) and a pimento. Everything looks good minus the pimento. It doesn't grow or produce fruit. IT just sits there. I topped all my peppers as I am told that forces them to increase yield. I didn't do bells this year. I never have luck with bells for whatever reason.
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьYour peppers look awesome, I have had no luck with my green peppers growing in a container, we get too much rain here in Florida now and it has been way too hot!!! I have moved them into my florida room, hopefully they come around, thanks for sharing :)
ОтветитьI have a question. I have a orange habenero that has started producing fruit. However the fruit has gotten wayyyyy over sized and still has not ripened. Do you know what could be the cause of this?
ОтветитьDo you recommend 5 gallon buckets or nursery pots with the bottom cut out?
Ответитьu need lot of sun for hot peppers?
Ответитьall American selections link?
ОтветитьI love your garden! How deep are your beds?
Ответитьfabulous looking pepper plants !! great advice and information on growing them !! thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences and as always happy gardening !!
ОтветитьLast year I grew 2 bell pepper plants per five gallon bucket on my blacktop driveway. 8 plants in the space of 4. It was the best crop of peppers I ever had and was the first time I tried that. Got nice large thick fruit and had no pests or other issues. Thanks for your videos.
ОтветитьHelp!! I have a bacterial disease on my pepper plants!! What can I do to save them and keep it from spreading to my other plants??
Ответитьenjoyed your video Gary your pepper garden looks really great I have four different pepper plants there really bushey and produceing fairly good here in zone 7
ОтветитьI have a Anaheim pepper plant that is large and full of leaves but no peppers. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any suggestions?
Ответитьwhat do you use to prevent weeds from growing in your garden i see your beds are weedless if i should say
ОтветитьSo what is your conclusion about planting 2 plants in one pot and how did you do it (2 seeds in one, when you repoted it or in the garden)? Really interrested because I really have a small garden! Thanks and I love you channel!
ОтветитьWhat is the longevity for let's say a cascabella pepper plant?
Thanks,
Jim
My question is, my pepper plant 🌱 is only 4 weeks now out in my raised bed and they started to send out blooms, but the trees are not that big is that natural. I am a first time Gardner.
ОтветитьHow many inches do you allow between each of your pepper plants?
ОтветитьHow far apart are they?
ОтветитьIt pronounced HALAPENYO, not jalapeeno, spelled jalapeño.
ОтветитьWill have to see if you have a video on drying the cayenne, etc.
ОтветитьMy bell pepper and jalapenos does not give me any fruits. They're very healthy green looking but no yield at all 😕 I water it daily and add fertilizer..I'm not sure what else I should do so it can yield
Ответить"Jalapinos"
ОтветитьThanks! Fyi: "hala-pen-yo" not "hala-peen-o" :-)
ОтветитьDo you have a video showing us how you overwintering your peppers?
ОтветитьWhen you planted the jalapeño together was it at the time you germinated them in a single pot or were they separated and you transplanted to the one location together? I’m starting out some seedlings together
ОтветитьHi Gary. Great video content on your channel. Quick question. If I'm growing chilli's in large pots can you put two plants in one pot still? Or would it dry out too quickly? What size pot would you recommend? Thank you.
ОтветитьKnow this is an older vid but I love it as I’m just stumbling on it. Going to start growing a scotch bonnet soon and I’m excited!
ОтветитьI have leafminers on my pepper plant leaves. Will that kill them? What do I do? I have my pepper plants in a raised bed and this is my first year growing peppers. I don’t want to lose them.
ОтветитьI live in south florida and it's hot and humid all my pepper plants got brown spots I heard it's basically uncurable and is a death sentence to the plant.
ОтветитьI have been having an issue with my jalapenos where some of them lose their glossy shine and instead have a matte finish. Is this something to worry about? If so, how do we fix/prevent it?
ОтветитьYes for planting 2 pepper plants per space! I did it last year and it was successful. Great for container gardening!
ОтветитьYou mention 2 plants in a container, how far apart? For 2 plants what (minimum) size container do you suggest?
Thank you
Nice plants, Is there a certain height the jalapeño plants need to get to for them to start producing flowers and peppers?
