Brooks Launch 11 vs Hyperion 2: Battle of the Speed Demons

Steve. I’m looking for a great shoe for work. I stand all day. I need a shoe that has a 2e option , takes orthotics well, has a 10-12 mm drop, has a firmer cushion setup up. I’ve used the brooks dyad for years, amazing shoe for work, but it’s discontinued. Any thoughts?

I still have the Ravenna VI (blue/red/lime green) that I bought years ago @ 1/2 off for indoor treadmill since the color was so awful but the price was too good to pass up. Now it’s a yard shoe. That was before I knew anything about shoes and watching this channel. I also have the original Hyperion Tempo with only a handful of 5k race miles since I keep getting injured. I should be doing more gym work like you! :)

So which one did you decide for the shop this year?!?

The launch 11 hurts my knees after a run it’s not cushioned enough compared to the hyperion 2 and with the Evo SL , Neo Zen and Aero Glide 3 Brooks needs to put DNA Gold in the hyperion 4 imo and get rid of flash all together for the line

I used to do all my 25 minute Tempo runs on the Endorphin Speed, but the 3rd and 4th iterations are a bit too clunky for me. What do you recommend?

Launch 11 is the old original Hyperion Tempo. If you loved the OG Hyperion Tempo the the Launch is your shoe. Plus it’s cheaper than the OG Hyperion Tempo was

I tried both on. I would go with the Launch 11z It’s a teenie bit softer. I feel that I am not missing much with the Hyperion Tempo even if it costs more.
