Shouldn’t you give yourself a little extra space for the seams on the pattern?

When I use my rotary cutter sometimes it doesn't cut all the way through, even though I apply a fair amount of pressure and when I go back to go over the spots that aren't cut, I end up cutting like 1mm next to it. Idk maybe I'm doing something wrong or it takes practice but I feel like even though using scissors is more time consuming, they give you way more control over the curves and edges 🤔

You’ll need both though. If you have a very large pattern you’ll have to use scissors. Also, a rotary cutter plus mat can be expensive.

I'd love to get myself a rotary cutting set but with the type of sewing I do at the moment it wouldn't be very efficient. I make clothes for dolls which requires very small curves, and even with a tiny blade I dont feel it would help me much. I also worry about shifting the entire pattern piece and ruining the cut
