I'm chuffed someone's posted this vid' up. Nice one. Saw Billy in Salisbury a few years ago, one of the best laughs I've ever had at a gig. Billy's ace. Once again, ta for posting this fantastic cover of a fantastic song.

@Laurie111 I couldn't agree more. Good quality vid as well. Nice one girl. If you ever hear the bootleg of his Salisbury Gig in about 2006/2007 (ish), you can hear Billy say to me: "Can you shut your fat, baldy, drunken mate up as I can't sing over his screeching voice and we're trying to record this fucking song mate." My mate was absolutely plastered like, but Billy was laughing his head off at him and came over at the end and shook his hand. I hope he plays Liverpool again sometime soon.

You can ask a thousand singers to cover a Dylan song (or any song or that matter) and you won't believe a word any of them sings. They lack the quality and wisdom to make it come alive. Billy Bragg however pulls it off wonderfully.

Better than Bob Dylans own version. Thats what happens in time.

I like this, but Dylan's version had an urgency and anger that sparks it into a revolutionary anthem rather than a nice song.
