Mahindra XEV 9e review - Tech-loaded electric SUV that's great to drive | First Drive| Autocar India

In my opinion, as a responsible veteran publication - it is important to issue a disclaimer for the Indian customer to make responsible and safe use of the power at disposal. As vehicles of such power become more and more accessible, I would be a bit on-my-toes as driving ethics don’t feature high on Indian driver’s lists.

Why on Earth is adding a TV for the co-driver considered a smart move? Isn't co driver supposed to accommodate the driver's blind spots on the left?

Confused wether wd drive this car in real or in playstation. Sadly no car feel after seeing the review.

When reviewing the ADAS features make sure to tell about the location of these feature...whether accessible quickly via steering wheel or via touch screen buried under menus !

Incredible design and AI in the car

Lovely package. Polarizing design. Too tech loaded. Unnecessary gimmicks. Feels like a novelty waiting to fade away, very kuch a like a concept car, definitely a halo product.

Not sure what is the fancy for introductory price by indian car companies. It should be the other way round . Launch with signature model at premium pricing with a unique badge. Then keep on bringing down the price with lower variants

Is it just me or anyone else disliked the hideous design of the head and tail lights. What's wrong with the automakers. Bring back the old classic light designs. Get rid of the connected LED's everywhere

The front could’ve been better designed. Just looks a bland slab of metal. From every other angle, it looks stunning. Mahindra is killing it!

Nailed it with the design , i am sure it would be subjective since many are saying it is overdone , this could be my first mahindra car , i am just waiting for long term review

Design not good enough and I doubt Mahindra electronics systems. I hope they improve all electronic issues over time .

The rear looks pointing upwards .. the front looks bulky just the interior is what looks right

Is this car safe for people with pacemaker? Do manufacturers report amount EMF emitted by their cars?

The Third Screen for the co deiver seems redundant and make Dront Dashboard a bit busy , Otherwise a very good car , Interior and exteriror everything is Top Notch .

During accidents or crash, the passenger will be adversely affected by the third screen, because of glass pieces. Is it correct ✅, what m thinking? Please enlighten on this issue.

The external design (especially rear) unfortunately looks to be an after thought compared to that of the 6e.

Gotta hand it to Mahindra, they delivered way beyond expectations and have set a new benchmark for the industry. But I really wish it didn't have so much gloss black cladding for the exterior, it just tips over the balance for form over function.
