I love how realistic you are being with us, about your struggle to get out of a book slump. I have been going through one right now and literally any book I would pick, I'd dnf before getting more than 30% into it. It just makes me feel not alone, seeing that someone who is such an avid reader may also sometimes struggle getting into new books and finishing them. Incidents around the house genuinely gave me uneasy feelings. I don't think its the scariest book I've ever read (I also do NOT read horror at all) but I audio booked it and the audiobook was voiced by a child and I felt soooooo uneasy
