Hi DC, does Epix Pro use the same multi band GPS brand as Non-Pro? Is Epix Pro more accurate than Epix 2 (non-pro)?

I like endurance score, but yeah sometimes it doesn't make sense. Like on a rest day it'll sometimes drop like 40 points. Other rest days it won't drop at all. I do find that it does value longer workouts vs the intensity of the workout. I gain way score from playing tennis for 90 minutes than a vigorous 30 minute interval run.

Great analysis. A few questions. 1, does the Epix measure blood pressure?; 2, is there a solar model for Epix; 3, what setting would I use for a stairmaster workout or climbing mountain stairs...? Thanks, Bruno.

Epix 2 is now 999$ in NZ, that’s exactly half the price of Pro. I use screen light to go to loo almost every night and it has enough illumination for me to aim well 😅

Another great video. I already have the Epixs Pro and I'm thinking about selling it and picking up the new descent MK 3i because of the better waterproofing/being a spare scube diving computer. I read a few people had problems with their Epix Pros after swimming. I know the MK3i has the older OHR v4 and wanted to know your opinion on the OHR v4 vs the OHR v5 and what would you do? My main sport is swimming on vacation and in my chlorinated pool.

I just got my epix pro yesterday. I’ve noticed that on the default watch face that the heart rate doesn’t refresh every second in the background like my forerunner 965 does. Is this normal??

Your reviews are great and I use them to inform all of my choices for tech - particularly smart watches. One request, please never ever use the phrases big-ass, small-ass, short-ass, grown-ass, wise-ass - I could go on forever - essentially anything with 'ass' attached. It's just not cool, but Americans seem to bloody love it - I think they have an ass obsession!

If your thinking of buying the Garmin Epix Pro (I just purchased one on sale last week) be aware that the alarm is VERY QUIET and there is no way to increase the volume.
I have absolutely no problem sleeping thru the alarm. Disappointing.

Love them..but.. what is the radiation output? That is a very important consideration

Excellent review and thanks for putting it together. Having used a Forerunner 935 for years now, it's time to upgrade. I'm primarily a runner and at 56 am mostly interested in heart stats, building VO2Max and developing my strength and endurance. As a serious golfer and someone who does a lot of trail running/hiking I'm now considering either this watch or the 965, having decided against the Fenix 8. Perhaps when I try them on side by side, it may come down to weight and comfort given I have fairly small wrists.

The Battery on these is outstanding. I’ve upgraded from a Fenix 6 pro which in all honesty had great battery life. I found charging it while showering after an activity avoided me ever having a flat watch. With the Epix pro 51mm, it charges so fast I’m only charging every 2nd activity otherwise the battery stays too charged.

I have a quick question—I recently purchased the Epix Pro Gen2 74mm Sapphire, and I've noticed that at maximum brightness, the white color appears to have a slight yellowish tone when it's bright outside. Did you happen to notice this as well? At mid (2) or low brightness, the white looks fine. Thanks again!

I love my epix pro but now that garmin has thrown epix to the side with limited updates after 2 years it will be my last purchase , why speed on $1200.00 when they don't care about customers

The Epix maybe a reasonable watch but the software is absolutely shocking. This us my second Garmin but it'll be my last. When GPS is showing a 10 mile walk that is nearly 1 mile out in distance (shows just over 9 miles) and support say it's GPS drift, it's time look at the cheaper alternatives

Brightness of flashlight on the 42mm looks way darker than the 47 & 51 - just picked up the 7 pro and it's a shame because I expected the flashlight to be a bit brighter than it was. I guess it makes sense being the smallest model and all - any bigger and it'd start looking like a fitness statement piece on my wrist...
