Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ?
I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ?
I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference.
If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade !

have you adjusted some settings to save some battery while in the woods (wifi, bluetooth, mail push, background app update, animation etc.? Also with the pro raw images you get the depth map info included in the file iIrc, the new lens blur feature in lightroom can use it instead of just AI, did you try to see if it's somewhat better than the portrait mode?

Great video. People make it out to be a negative when actually Apple introduced the App Store as a positive added value for their devices. Software by developers and professionals created to maximize Apple’s hardware. I’ve heard the Black Magic app does a great job integrating hardware and giving more control to photographers.

Should have gotten the pro max. And if you want a better bokeh output adjust after the shot is taken. 5.6 seems to be a pretty good sweet spot. On the main lens you will get lens bokeh automatically depending on the distance you shoot at.

Similarly the S23 Ultra camera continues to impress me. I absolutely love shooting in Pro mode (manual) and editing the RAW DNG files in Lightroom mobile. There are still limitations when it comes to very low light compared to my Olympus OM-1. But for something I carry with me daily, its stunning.

Thanks for the informative video. If you had the option of the same lens setup in the pro max would you choose it for the extra battery life? Would you go for the pro max version as it is now despite not having the 3x telephoto?

Might be easier for you to just embrace that long cord and throw the external HD in your pocket vs having it just dangling in mid air 😅 Then you can have room on magsafe to snap on an external battery pack if you need to shoot longer.

I have a 6SE 1. Gen and I have bought a Iphone 15pro. The photos of the 15pro are terrible. Dark, overpixelated!
I called Apple. They said I have to deactivate HDR! Now they are not so dark anymore but the quality is now just a bit better than with the 6SE 1. Gen but still very unpleasing. And I have bought a product that says it supports HDR but I can't use it. I have bought it with apple gift cards because I have only a prepaid credit card and I would have lost so much money if I would have bought it with this card. Now I have to return the phone and I will not even get my money back. Because when you buy something with Apple Gift Cards then they simply return the money to these cards and you have no option to get your cash back! I will never ever buy an Apple product again. Now I have to find someone who gives me money for the cards and I will loose also money because who takes already opened gift cards!

May i know about the location?

Appreciate the informative vid! If we may, we have a different experience with the battery, ours seem to be able to last the whole day (8 hours or more) when we start the day at 80% while using blackmagic to film b-rolls for our travel vlogs + use maps for navigation and regular daily use like instagramming etc. 

When we end the day it usually has about 10-20% left depending on whether we use lightroom along the way to edit the RAW images. Definitely agree that the iPhone 15 Pro produces dope images and vids especially with LOG and RAW. Great vid anyways, subscribed! :)

I took this phone out just like you. Using mobile data and location services turned on does drain battery very fast. If those are turned off then it will easily last twice as long.

So what I did was in the location I took one photo with location services on. Then for the rest of the dozens of photos I took with the location and mobile data off. Later on I just copied the location from that one photo to the rest within the photos app. I lasted much longer taking all the shots I wanted. That’s something you can try.
