I'm in California and I will say you don't want any liberals moving to Idaho.
ОтветитьLeave your California politics behind
ОтветитьTook my time over 3 years extracting myself out of CA. Heading in to retirement!
ОтветитьDo you get any Hawaii families moving there too?
ОтветитьI’m here for the continued references to underwater basket weaving😂
ОтветитьCalifornia transplant from Colorado and YAWN ... folks in Colorado used to try and one up everybody on who was here 1st and how long established... more divisive behavior. Some one strides up to me and asked how long I'd been there. Such a childish approach but was said to anyone thought to be from Texas especially. Anyway I looked em over and said " 3 decades, how bout you?" radio silence. yeah.
My realtor moved to Idaho after selling me my place 92081 and I say blessings , be right where ever you land... ✌🏼 peace out
I'm in Texas and I just want to say leave your politics in California where it belongs back in the the now toilet we call the Golden State
ОтветитьGo back
ОтветитьIll bet Idaho loves all you Californians moving in to there state.
ОтветитьChange your pollical outlook if you were a commie in california.
ОтветитьLooking to move to Idaho from Lake Almanor, CA. I need the same amenities that I have now...Lakefront. Boating, Fishing, Forest ( well we had forest....Dixie fire, thanks PG&E ) 1+ acre lot, 3 bed, 2 bath, Good, Nice, Lawful, Conservative people. Have anything like that up there?? Having the same problem here with people vaca or visiting their property 4 times a year.....Lotts of home owners renting their properties out to ANYONE ( trash, lawlessness )....so they are turning our piece of heaven into lake tahoe.
ОтветитьAs someone who was raised in CdA I will admit it's sad to see how much its changed over the years. Just the shear amount of people is enough to annoy the longtime locals. With that said most of us know that change is inevitable and don't necessarily blame people for wanting to raise their family in a beautiful area with conservative values. We all would do the same. Our biggest fear however is the Idaho will change politically. We look at those who recently moved here as political refugees 😂
I know I'm glad the majority of people moving here are families like yours but the fear or nervousness of Idaho losing its values is real.
The locals hate hearing “we just
Moved here from California”
Do you see some young career professionals (22 to early 30's) moving from CA/OR/WA to N ID, particularly those who are able to work remotely? Young blue collar people, single or starting families?
ОтветитьI'm a 3rd generation Californian, and I'm a conservative. There are many of us living in California.
The thing that bothers me the most is how people in red states automatically ASSUME that ALL Californians are Liberal. MOST people who move from blue states to Red states are doing so because of their political beliefs. Please don't judge us.
What a great video! A ton of outstanding information. Thank you!
ОтветитьYou hit a sore spot with me on movers. I had checked them out and they were highly recommended (SCM/Southern California Movers) but the experience was horrible. $25K to move from north SD county to Cocolalla and I had 3 totally smashed desks, file cabinets with handles ripped off, dented/dinged refrigerators, freezers and washer (had to replace washer and freezer), smashed heavy duty totes, things lost/stolen were antique braided heirloom rug, push brooms, bottle jacks, etc. My first clue as to how this might go was when the guys shuttling stuff out ran over my 18' aluminum extension ladder...another loss. The move was a disaster plus we had to move into an unfinished house thanks to a shitty general contractor and lousy sub-contractors. I could write a book on what last year was but don't want to relive it...hardest year of my 66 year life! Beware of contractors up here...they will take advantage of you! Idaho needs a few consumer protection laws like price gouging when there is a hard freeze and people need a plumber to thaw frozen waterlines. $395.00 for the call and $400.00 per hour x 3 hours and lines remained frozen for a week! America NW...way over-priced! Reporting lousy work to the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses is useless. They do absolutely nothing! I reported both my general and a sub-contractor. My cabinets were done by Timberwolf Wood Products. Supposedly finished in 2021 and fully paid for (I was building long distance) my general submitted the final bill...nearly $23K for cabinets. When I moved in the kitchen was still missing doors, drawers and shelves. For 4 months I tried to get them to finish the job. It got down to one missing shelf which I wound up buying the wood and having someone else make the shelf! Building codes for plumbing should also have something for making sure waterlines are heated and insulated. In getting some other work done here, replacing the "non-pressure treated posts" for my deck with pressure treated (they come in direct contact with concrete pillar) we discovered that the posts were just sitting on the pillar....NOTHING securing them to the pillar...just sitting there! One last contractor on my shit list is Triple C flooring/Phil Carrol. My LVP flooring is again separating after being "repaired" twice. I also had them do the painting...OMG! They got more pain on the logs than on the walls...$12K! I have to repaint literally everything they did. They had one guy, Frank, that was friends with the general, Dave Daniels, and I was told not to mention Dave because of this....living in a supposedly "free" state and I am told what I can say in my own house to a guy I am paying!!! WTF! Yes, I dropped names here so maybe other people won't have the bad experience I had.
