The grippen is a great option
ОтветитьFun fact: the first 2 F-5Es ever made are still in service with the Brazilian Air Force and were upgraded to EM standard, as these F-5s will serve till 2030 and be replaced by F-39 Gripens
USAF 11418 = FAB 4857
USAF 11417 = FAB 4856
Reminds me of F104
ОтветитьThe brazilian F5 haves HOTAS, OBOGS, EWS, HMD, IFF and 2 new proprietary mission computers for BVR missions too... Their fighters are complete disassembly and reconstruct with structure retrofited by EMBRAER, AEL and AKAER
ОтветитьThe FAL of fighter aircraft
ОтветитьF5 covered by wapons defective, instant like❤.
ОтветитьI am convinced that we will see a Boeing–Saab T-7 Red Hawk derivative in the future.
Ответить👍️👍️👍️
ОтветитьI always thought those "razor wing" aircraft were just beautiful.
ОтветитьI find the fully upgraded Taiwanese version interesting, because it can carry a bunch of AMRAAMs.
ОтветитьA sad plane to wither away into the sunset. Definitely needs a good replacement.
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful planes ever made
ОтветитьOne of the prettiest, sleekest designs ever built.
ОтветитьTive oportunidades de ver de perto esse caça e é lindo, velho mas tem sua graça
ОтветитьThe advance version F20 tigers shark . It will be back in time. across world learn Ukraine war not ally will help you hard time so need ability fight or lasts longer for help come or peace deal.
ОтветитьMost cleanest Aircraft wow,
do they have this aircraft with single engine with another name ?
this thing is lighter than dodge ram
ОтветитьSir, Greetings from Indonesia!
We intended to purchase Su 35 to replace the F 5 but thanks to CAATSA it basically got moot, but for your blessing we had since chosen Rafale sir 👍
I also agree about your ending statement on how there is a need of a counter of JF17 in the western world.
F119 motor F5 gib
ОтветитьAustria just borrowed them from Switzerland until the Eurofighter was delivered.
ОтветитьIronically the Islam states that roar against the U.S. are dependant on these fighter jets and their spare parts.
ОтветитьIf the world most successful Interceptor goes to the MIG-21 or F-4 Phantom, then the most successful within visual range fighter has to go to the Northrop F-5. The F-5 often overshadowed by other aircrafts due to technology limitations at the time which resulted in lack of powerful engines, cruising range, powerful radar, max top speed and BVR missiles. But it was extremely maneuverable, cheap and reliable, those are important attributes if your nation's Air Force need to cater both force multipliers and superior numbers at the same time.
ОтветитьThe Chilean F-5s were designated Tigre 3. They also use the DASH 3 helmet mounted cue system. They are currently stationed at the south of the country were the only potential adversary is Argentina, while F-16's guard the north.
ОтветитьThe F-5 just looks too good to be obsolete. 🤔 There was also the extensive use by the US as an Aggressor aircraft for training.
Also, thanks for adding lbf (pounds thrust) to your engine stats. While I'm an American Boomer, I like to get a feel for the metric/Imperial conversions. 😎
It's a bloody shame the F-20 (the follow-on generation of the F-5) was never produced in large numbers.
ОтветитьF5 is the symbol of American Imperialism.
What a classic
l grew up in a Town which Turkish 5th main jet base located. l always watched this f5a and f5b's flight. We went to this airbase with my bike and watched landıng of these birds with my friends. Good old days of 80's and 90's. We somwtimes saw U.S soldiers in City who were came to nato radar base on the mountain againts soviets , searching for blacksea region. An old f5a located in my Town as a statue
ОтветитьThe sidewinder is the AIM-9, not 7.
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьIt is said that the F 5s were better than the Mig 21s in a dogfight, more accurate, and cheaper to produce and maintain. Supposely, this is why the Soviets decided to make the mig 23 lighter
ОтветитьI've always felt if Ukraine was really serious about getting a western jet ASAP, the F-5 would have been the way to go. But, when none of the 32 Airmen they sent for F-16 training were pilots yet, I realized they were looking at the long term. The MiGs will just have to do for the next few years.
ОтветитьAIM 7 is the Sparrow semi active radar missile. Sidewinder is AIM 9.
ОтветитьOdds are the Gripen will take the place, since it shares the most with the F-5 and even F-20. Not to mention it uses the same engine as the F/A-18 Hornet and the Super Hornet. With Sweden's assentation into NATO all but confirms it will be part of any new NATO lightweight low cost fighter competition. Though that's not to say the SK F/A-50 won't also see some NATO or NATO allied buyers.
Ответитьa joke of a fighter.
If it goes supersonic, it burns fuel rapidly.
So it needs a external tank.
If it takes an external tank, it can't carrier too many weapons.
That leaves it with 2 hardpoints.
One defensive missile and one offensive missile.
Air show is its ONLY STRENGTH.
But don't get me wrong, its a beautiful design and from it came the F18 Hornet.
The true functional F-5.
AIM 7 Sparrow
AIM 9 Sidewinder
A superb jet and a very nice presentation. Well done Weapon Detectives 😊
ОтветитьI plot the Ace Combat 5 reference
ОтветитьForeign modified F-5 s have a multi-mode radar.
ОтветитьNo range, limited weapons, no serious military ever used them 🤷
ОтветитьIt is still being used as an adversary aircraft in the U.S., both by the Sea Services and by contractors....
ОтветитьIt's cool to hear that someone put AMRAAMS on that thing. That missile costs more than the plane!
ОтветитьTHE USA REFUSED INDIA THIS FIGHTER. INDIA THEN WENT TO RUSSIA INSTEAD. RUSSIA SAID YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND. TELL US WHAT YOU WANT. USA CITED ALLIANCE WITH PAKISTAN.
ОтветитьF5 is better than mig21 at all aspect, however mig21 always comes free or at bargain price
ОтветитьWas offered to Pakistan but was refused by the paf for F16 good choice
Ответить
