I love how the credits scene leads into DMC4 which was set to release a year after this show came out. Although it doesn't make sense now with the timeline being 3>1>2>4>5 rather than 3>1>4>2>5 like it was before DMC5, it was a nice little touch.

Instead of remaking this in 2021 they should have made an anime adaptation of D.M.R.U.O.A.N.

It's a good anime, but it would be a great Devil May Cry anime if the fights were all stylish, all on screen and if Abigail lived up to the hype.

Is it just me or is the audio kinda weird

With the Netflix series launching in April, & with Itsuno leaving Capcom. I decided to take a look back at what an underrated series this was. I wish we got another adaptation like this, which serves as a post Devil May Cry 5 followed up. By taking place one year after the Qulipoth crisis. Patty’s mother Nina goes missing after doing an errand. She goes to Fortuna, after hearing from Morrison that Nero is the only one who can help her. He is surprised that she was close to Dante as a daughter. So he can’t denied a family request, so he promised to help her find her mother. With help from Trish & Lady, since Patty knows them too. Throughout the anime, we do get to see Kyrie again, along with Nico & Morrison. We do get to see what the orphans, that Nero & Kyrie take care of look like. Julio who is the oldest, while having a little crush on Patty. Kyle who is the middle child. And Carlo who is the youngest. Interesting thing for the anime is Nero becoming a big brother type figure to Patty, despite how he too thought of Dante as a father, than a big brother like how Dean was to Sam. There are some pretty nice flashbacks of Nero bonding with Dante, before Vergil came back. We do see what Nero’s childhood was like, while also seeing Kyrie & Credo’s parents. At one point, they were able to find Patty’s mom. Who recognizes Nero, as it’s revealed that Nina was childhood friends with his birth mother. It was clear that his mother died after childbirth, & Nina wanted to take Nero into her care. But gives him to the old orphanage in Fortuna, despite all the danger she would involve him in. And Nero forgives her for not raising him since his birth. This encourages Nero to have Nina as his mother. The finale involves a group of Demon worshippers who wanted to resurrect an ancient Demon that Sparda sealed away in the ruins of Atlantis, with help from Patty’s ancestor. Which explains why her mother went missing. Because this group needed their blood along with Sparda’s to summon the monstrosity. Nero starts to beat himself up that he failed Dante & everyone, making him Deadweight again. Until Dante, especially Vergil came into his head. Telling him it’s not too late. Only he can make it right. One shot is all they need. Without Nero, they all die. This allows Nero to get back on his feet. Turning into his Devil Trigger form. And with help from the mother & sister he made so far. They send the Demon’s ass back to Hell, while taking care of the remaining Worshippers. The anime ends with Nero having a nice dinner with the family he has. Until he gets a call saying he’s needed. With Nico, Lady, Trish, & Patty going with him, just to make sure nothing happens to him like with Vergil. Leaving both Kyrie & Nina being really proud to have Nero by their side.
