The lack of government assistance for the people of WNC, TN, VA, and all the other areas devastated by Helene is beyond shameful. Were it not for the citizens, nothing would be getting done to help restore some sense of normalcy to these areas. PTSD is going to be an issue for so many. Where the f..k is the government? Why the f..k do we pay taxes? FEMA needs to be dismantled, for the most part they're corrupt and worthless.

I'm from Florida. The Lord was weighing on my heart. I collected all the donations I could pack in my SUV. You would think growing up in Florida I would be used to devastating hurricanes. Nothing and I mean Nothing could prepare me for what I saw! GOD BLESS ALL VOLUNTEERS!!! I will not give up. I will load my vehicle as much as the Lord wills. We can't let this be buried! It's time for people to crawl out of their comfort zones and do the right thing. The Big G isn't going to help. They will just take what little NC has left.

If you have political contacts, those awaiting asylum could actually "volunteer" to help recovery operations in North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, etc. For those willing to assist in America's disaster areas it could go a LONG way towards earning asylum!! Would show their determination and intention to BECOME A CONTRIBUTING PART of this great country!!
