Massive Summer Book Haul | The 20 Books I Bought This Summer | Gem of Books

Some great books here - Travelling Cat Chronicles, Burial Rites, Lolita. I read Lolita earlier this year after reading My Dark Vanessa.

I recently bought a second hand copy of Interview with the vampire, saving it for spooky season!

What a great book haul! I started this year off with Burial Rites and found the setting perfect for a January read.

What a great haul! Your humor really gets me laughing! I also own Interview with a Vampire and Daughter of Fortune, but have yet to read them. I quite liked Lolita. “I was obviously having a stressful shopping day with the kids!” Ha!

I can’t believe how many books that we both like!! 😂 I have read a few Anne Tyler, I love No. 1 Ladies Detective agency and I read Burial Rites earlier in the year and loved it and found it really intense! I also loved The Traveling Cat Chronicles. I’m also a fan of Philippa Gregory but haven’t tried Alison Weir. I’m currently reading River God by Wilbur Smith set in ancient Egypt. And I really want to try Isabel Allende and Kindred!! 🤣🤣Looking forward to seeing which of these you get to soon! 😊📚

Great haul :) Love the movie Interview with a Vampire - such a classic - but have never read the book. I've heard amazing things about Kindred - will be interested to hear your thoughts

Huge haul! I really want to read HP Lovecraft as I haven’t yet. Also really want to read Interview with the Vampire… I did giggle at your powers of deduction comment, that’s what I’ve always thought that book would be about too. Couldn’t get in to Macall-Smith although I like the covers, maybe I should try again! And I really want to read the Travelling Cat Chronicles too, I keep hearing great things! Great video. 🙂
