Why Trump Wants Canada as America’s 51st State

I have to stop you right there in the first seconds of the video..... Without security, Canada has no freedom. Without freedom, Canada can not become a super trade power. Point is, Canada relies on the USA for their national security. Therefore in order for Canada to flourish and become any kind of super power, it would need their neighbor to make it possible. Canada does not have the navy power to protect their coastlines. They do not have the military might to thwart off a land invasion. The only reason Canada is still free today is because of the USA and it's military. For this reason alone, Canada should become the 51st state.

Russia and China are not nearly as hostile to Canada as USA is. Canada should seek to work with all the Arctic nations, not just US. The worst thing Canada does to its self is follow US foreign policy. Enemies of US are not automatically enemies of Canada.
Canada should be investing heavily in Arctic infrastructure, and build ice breakers - or look to partner in building them with Russia and China who both build better, more reliable, and less costly machinery than Canada or US.

President Trump may be looking for a pretext to occupy Canada without NATO opposition. A Russian invasion of the Canadian Arctic could be that pretext assuming the Canadian military struggles to respond. In such a scenario the Canadian government would invoke Article 5 for help from all of NATO & Trump offers it providing no other NATO countries intervene. Then after there’s a ceasefire with Russia, Trump insists on keeping US troops on Canadian soil permanently and directly offers statehood to Canadians. Meanwhile he would have also made the same deal with Denmark so it gives up Greenland and he’s parked an aircraft carrier group in the North Atlantic.

As far as I am concerned the islands in the Arctic Ocean, North of the Canadian mainland are all part of Canada. Of course this means that all of the potential Northwest Passage routes are in Canadian waters. No international waters. When I was a kid, going to school in Ontario, long ago, I remember there were several explorers who went North, from Canada, by dogsled , over the ice cover to the North Pole. One adventurer from Japan I recall walked = WALKED = on snowshoes to the North Pole. And back to Canada. No one else in the world outside of Canada cared anything about the Arctic Ocean between the North Pole and the Canadian mainland. Now they are trying to convince us that the ice cover will go away within a generation's time. And foreign imperialists are talking trash about making international waterways through Canadian waters. Canada needs to establish its naval presence in the waters within 200 nautical miles of all the islands, with nuclear powered vessels and define the passage ways for foreign countries. And set the passage fees, like the owners of the Suez Canal and Panama canal do. No foreign vessels allowed in Canadian waters, except with permission, having paid the set fees. And no foreign military vessels allowed. And exceptions will be attacked and sunk. You tell them the rules and the boundaries and you enforce them they have to get used to it. Or go somewhere else.

The Arctic resources are just an excuse. The real reason is that China will soon overtake the US in GDP competition. According to projections, China's economic growth will slow down from the point it overtakes the US economy, and it will continue to slightly outpace it. Therefore, the most certain way for the US to maintain its position as the number one GDP is to merge with Canada and combine Canada's GDP.
