Im 15 and 2001 is my favourite film. Its sad my generation cant appreciate something like this.

Bro a lot of the picks are such a cliche just picks people know but have not seen or like picks that people assume are great cause what they have heard or whatever, I know it's not your top I myself will be starting my podcast same as u movie stuff and I have used ur cast as a sort of class on how to do it right I liked and enjoyed ur stuff brotha well done but I would love to hear your personal top 100 movies in order while watching this I made mine I wanna see what we agree on

What they did to Lawrence, Hannibal lecter, and Mononoke was so unforgivable I wanted to tune out, but you guys are just too cool

1/2 these are top 250 films. I don't think anyone gets how special a film needs to be to crack the top 100

I only gave The Matrix a 4/5 because I like the action but the amount of humans that they kill without blinking an eye kind of undermines the theme of trying to save humanity 😁😆

I like how yall took a slight offense in spot 99 for "2001" but didn't even know Abbas Kiarostami or even Robert Bresson.
Like, come on white boys, maybe that's the reason it's "only" 99, because there is a whole world of movies out there each of us has been ignorant towards, and with a diverse community on a website like BL an accumulated score by cinephiles across the globe can reveal some of them to us.
Like, maybe there is more than "just" Kubrick (still a brilliant film maker don't get me wrong), u feel me smh

Just made my letterboxd account, and I love it. The other users have been super helpful with lists like "1001 movies everyone should see" which any new user can probably run down and log a lot of stuff at once without having to search for things individually.

Edit: most people probably know, but when you log Everything Everywhere All At Once on Lettwrboxd, the eye icon turns into a googly eye. Cute stuff

I hate to sound like a snob, but the reason the IMDb top 250 is more English-language, more recency bias than Letterboxd is because the IMDb scores come from a much wider pool of people. Way more casual Hollywood movie fans have rated films on IMDb than LB. It's because a much higher proportion of LB users are cinephiles than IMDb users.

Why do they keep saying “I just don’t think Gen Z understand or like Taxi Driver”? As if Taxi Driver doesn’t have a 4.2/5 on Letterboxd! Just because it isn’t in the top 250 movies of all time doesn’t mean the younger generation doesn’t like it!

Silence of the lambs is slightly overrated. It's really good, Hopkins flawless as usual, Levine delightfully disturbing. Jodie Foster and her garbage southern accent is hard to watch. Criminally underrated JFK was that years best. Costner, Oldman, Pesci, Sutherland, Lee Jones, Bacon etc etc

4.2 for your favs is pretty good on letterboxd guys...

Oppenheimer is a masterpiece , will b remembered decades from now. Christopher Nolan is a top 3 director of all time.

Oppenheimer is a great movie but IMO its not even nolans top 5 movie.

I was hoping you would say more about the films than just reading the synopsis and moving on for most of them; maybe revisiting the list when you have seen more of it would do for a more effective episode.
