Super happy u got a sponsor! Watched without skipping ;)
ОтветитьSoooo... Is it Aston Rover or Land Martin?
ОтветитьYou had me drilling the tyre;-)
ОтветитьYou could lower the Land Rover suspension a bit and I wonder whether you can move the rear axle rearward? It looks to be 50-75mm off the centre line of the astin, rear wheel arch?
ОтветитьThis was a nice video to wake up to!
Ответитьgreat to see this passion, keep up!
ОтветитьGreat progress, I do like the stitching on the front wing, I'd leave it
ОтветитьI can't wait to see the new big wheels and rims. They will make or break the project. I hope they have the proportions of Fat Bastard's butt cheeks, because they have to draw the eyes away from the little things not sorted yet. Great going, mate!
ОтветитьLove this, it will look so brutal when its done!
ОтветитьSlowly but Surely getting there. Front looks good and with the Bumper will look really good. Just a shame that the Rear doesn't quite line up. I guess once you get your Big Wheels on, get it lowered you might be Able to adjust the Arches to suit!
ОтветитьId just move the rear axle mounts while carrying out the repairs to the chassis and say nothing. Sure they were rotten and needed replacing didnt they 😉
ОтветитьCan't you change the length of the link arms or something to get a different wheelbase?
ОтветитьLoving it...
ОтветитьProgress 👍Looking good. Ralph likes the concept, but it looks like he has some apprehension about the first drive😂.
ОтветитьIm geting some strong Mad Max vibes from this build lol.
Good luck!
I think you're doing a great job! Build it to what you like. Enjoy the hobby.
ОтветитьYou could use the bit of the chassis sticking out the back to mount a frame to hold fuel/spare tyre etc, that would look baller
ОтветитьI'm getting the feeling of 'more than you can chew" & "square peg in round hole vibes....Ralf knows what I mean....but I'm still going to stick around to see where this goes.
ОтветитьA bri'ish Monster Truck
ОтветитьLooking a lot more integrated now! Bigger rims will fill up the arches and i'm so glad you chopped that front guard, too! As you know, sometimes it can take all day just making a bracket, so progress might appear slow, but the journey of a thousand miles... etc. Nice that you've still got the weather for outdoor jiggling and light...!
ОтветитьAhhhh Ralph-erino is a good crime partner
ОтветитьVery cool project. Great to see you have a sponsor. There should be enough totalled Aston Martins around (or being totalled while you work on the project) to ensure a parts supply. I wonder if there is sort of portal axle way to get the wheels further to the back – or the entire axle can be moved which would be the most straightforward. Best of success anyway 🥂
ОтветитьAs an Aston fan, especially the 2005-15 Vantage generation, this is horrifying and pure tragedy! But I'm loving the build and the progess :D If it's the only way to save an Aston body and frame then please carrying on your mad build! I hope it's gonna be called "The Astonishing" in reference to The Grand Tour's Excellent you mentionned.
ОтветитьAre you going to do anything to the engine to make it perform more like the Aston. Really enjoy this project
ОтветитьMount(build) a longer A-frame, longer trailing arms (you can just buy those) and build 2 plates to relocate the springs over the rear axle as after all i would imagine you are not going to trial it anyways and the aston body is obviously lighter. You should be fine
ОтветитьAbsolutely ludicrous build, been very much enjoying it!
ОтветитьJust push the toe backwards in the rear a little. Maybe 😅
ОтветитьAbsolutely loving this build! You have inspired me to get my own channel going. Can't wait to see the next step
ОтветитьThis lad is good..
And I love is videos..
Hello needs some sponsorship...
Please sponsor him..
Give the lad some parts and money..🎉🎉
I'm going to try and get you what you need kiddo.
ОтветитьContent quality is already enough for 1M subs. Hopefully soon mate
ОтветитьI'll have whatever Isaac is having for breakfast 😂
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьMoving the body back was definitely the right choice, it'll be easier to modify the rear arches. Sounds like you got over a mayor hurdle.
ОтветитьYou can move the axle locations forward or back without having to cut the chassis. It might affect articulation of the axles but I don't imagine the primary purpose of this conversion is to take it rock climbing.
ОтветитьGreat to see progress and Issac. Seeing him again reminded me about the Aston you braced up. Is that still in play? Cheers Al
Ответитьif you do right ... dvsa would not notice few inch extension on your chassis !
ОтветитьJust address what you said at the start is correct chassis. Being that you are essentially can on chassis build it perfectly for you lengthen the body as you stagger the joining point. What most people do I replaced the sills and chassis rail with box , stagger the cut joint by putting a foot wide panel in the floor pan Either side of tunnel. And 300mm x 1.75mm sleeve plate on the underside of the tunnel joint
ОтветитьMate this build is abso-freaking-lutely LEGENDARY!
And Isaac is a very welcome addition to the channel. Keep it up mate!
Such a refreshing build. Not another ls swap...
A suggestion regarding centering of the wheels in the wheel wells.
You can just lengthen the radius arms and driveshaft by the amount needed to center in the wheel arch.
You can do it to either of the axles or both. Maybe it is legal at your part of the world
i love you
ОтветитьI feel like thevlast couple times someone said Isaac in a video I watched, they said it weird like "EYE-zach"
ОтветитьLarge improvement over last episode
ОтветитьIs there a bolt on solution that moves the rear axle back 100mm?
ОтветитьGet those lowering springs on as it will raise the hub height up towards the body. I’m liking the look so far! 😎👍🏻
ОтветитьLooking good, looking forward to the next instalment :)
ОтветитьYou can modify the chassis any way you want as you'll have to blast and repair it anyways. Do it properly and nobody will ever be the wiser, it's not like the'll measure it anyways. It just gotta look factory.
ОтветитьIsaac looks like British CG5 😂
ОтветитьIt's good to see two young blokes enjoying the creative process of a car build without fear Respect
