Read receipts are awful, it is one of the things I have enjoyed the most about switching to an Android phone. I don't understand why they wanna leave your message and to not read them.

Hi so yes I am a iPhone user and the reason for that is because apple is hard lock down and that will make it difficult for hackers to hack through your iPhone but im sorry to say I have to keep mine on for health reasons. Get an iPhone. I don’t want an iPhone a person says. Because of the read receipts get an iPhone and turn it OFF yet it is rude to turn it off now there is an option where you can turn it off for certain pepole but still no excuse for going to android

Not knowing what a read receipt was then getting one for the first time in 2017 caused me to get PTSD and anxiety when I text or use/see a cell phone. I have had at least 3 panic attacks a day for 5 years after getting my first read receipt and getting more read receipts and social media bullying (including being left on delivered which is intended to be worse then a read receipt and mean someone does not value you enough to read your message) thereafter. I ask this video creator and anyone reading to spread awareness about making social media bullying (specifically using read receipts or being left on delivered as insults) illegal since it creates the same mental trauma as physical assault.

I’ll still get stressed when they leave me on delivered because I still want to know if the notification popped up on their phone and they just swiped it away

In dating the solution to that is do not save the number and delete those messages after you respond. If they are not interested they will pull away and when they do so should you. No manipulation…just choice. Enjoy your peace of mind🤟😇

I don’t like read receipts I turned them off but sometimes I have them on I used to leave them on until I figured out how to turn them off when I had them on and I didn’t know how to turn them off I was stressed out

💯 I’m dealing with this situation now with someone they had there read receipts on then now all of a sudden it goes straight to delivered after avoiding a question I ask which is immature 🙄

Personally, theres pros and cons to this. if delivered and read receipts or on, it means they havent gotten to it yet. in really does depend the person. but if they dont have them on. then you have no idea if theyre ignoring you

This is so silly. Ofc they received and read it. They’re ignoring you or they forgot or they’re busy, etc if they don’t reply. You don’t need to see when it was read to know they’re going to see it eventually
