This Could RUIN Spyro 4 (What I DON'T Want To See)

I agree that 4 should take place after Year of the Dragon and not be a unnecessary reboot of some sort, they should be careful on making sure it doesn't end like another Enter the Dragonfly...

I also agree that 4 should have a Original Antagonist that Spyro has never faced before...

I just want what was done for Crash 4 done for Spyro.

Gameplay felt familiar and stuck to it's identity while introducing new mechanics, the narrative made sense and was a continuation from Crash Warped, Crash's design maintained it's integrity, we saw returns of fan favorites like the "running from" levels and bonus rounds, adequate levels of difficulty, the music was very fitting and some of them were straight bangers (I personally loved the music with the N. Gin boss fight,) ...

Please. Spyro deserves this amount of care and love too.

If Toys for Bob really are going to develop the next game and they choose to go all in on the finicky plat-forming that leads to secrets AS COMPULSORY, they've missed the memo completely.
This is what turned a lot of people - myself included - off of It's About Time.

It’s true that even the simplest games can be messed up but I wonder how ambitious Activision has to be to mess up a gameplay formula as simple as Spyro’s? Wait what’s that? They’re owned by Microsoft now!? dang...

As someone who has been following the Spyro games since they first came out, I really, REALLY hope it'll turn out okay 😟

Spyro in no way needs mini games just solid platforming with objectives revolving around he’s move set for the love of god no mini games like Spyro 3

I want two things.

1. I want the hub world to be one big open world that naturally changes into different lands with platforming, collectibles, and portals throughout (like the Lego Lord of the Rings Video Game for example)

2. If they are doing a dimensions/time twister thing to gear up for a future Crash and Spyro game, I want to see a dimension where the professor becomes corrupt with evil power which slowly transforms him into Ripto, who then magically transforms Hunter and Allora into Crush and Gulp. Then Spyro must not only stop himself from killing them (in throw back levels to Spyro 2), but also destroy the evil corruption over them to save and restore them.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who didn't like how overly bloated with different gameplay styles YOTD felt. It's the same issue that plagued Crash 3 and WOC for me. Glad I'm not the only one after all.

I would like elora to be in Spyro 4 but in a bigger way then she had in 2

I'd be so down for a cell shaded Ratchet game fully taking cues from Crack in Time's pheusdo cell shaded artstyle over Rift Apart's bland (IMO) artstyle tbh. That isn't 6 hours long and somehow repetitive as well

I want Spyro 4 have more challange more collection, and more world. All characters will be playeble including Blink the Mole from Spyro A Hero's tail and Cynder Dragon. And I want new antagonist who be a Death Dragon or mythology creature, who will bring back all the villian in Spyro games back to life.

Hope it kinda does what ratchet & clank did with the new game, but better....idk what I mean.

I wouldn't mind one or two extra playable characters that feel unique from spyro, but yeah the 4 with different mechanics and gimmicks per level in YOTD was a bit much in the end

Here is what I really want in Spyro4:
1. Different variety of worlds instead of rehashed ones. Ones that are less boring and more fun.
2. Better writing and a story that's more interesting and makes the game fun and a plot well organized and humor in the right place and time.
3. More playable characters like Hunter, Sheila, Bentley, Sgt. Byrd, Agent 9, Blinx, and Bianca.
4. Better flight controls that are fluent and Spyro doesn't handle like a beached battle cruiser.
5. Gameplay that is well polished and a fair challenge. Powerups are helpful when needed and boss battle that are less repetitive and fun and fair challenge wise.

You forgot the part were, if is a pc Xbox exclusive, you won't enjoy it even if is the best game of the decade

A good mix of the gameplay, not too many mini games, everything done in moderation.

No previous villains!! YES!! Thank you, most people just want Ripto back... and as much as I love Ripto, I've been seeing him for my entire life.. please give me a new character.

Story not too in depth or serious, Spyro's stories work great just being simple and funny with a small mix of character and world development.

When it comes to the topic of playable characters I'd be happy to see almost any character playable if it's done right, but at the end of the day I'm playing a Spyro game to play as Spyro. I love how he plays.

Levels designed around rewardingly finding hidden areas yourself like Tree Tops and Haunted Towers.

And of course the music sounding somewhat like Copelands iconic style.

What would ruin Spyro 4 for me would be if they changed the gameplay too much... I see people asking for free flight at all times and I just seriously cannot understand why they would want that. Would ruin everything.

And I hope they don't make certain characters do certain things that seem too out of character.

Ontop of it all though I just want confirmation that it even exists....

Hi Miharu, I hope you're doing well. As for the video, I completely agree 100% with everything you said. ❤️ I do hope they find away to introduce Cynder & some adult female dragons. Maybe they could live in another part of the Dragon Realms. Maybe they'll be attacked by the new villain, then Nestor sends Spyro to help them. It could make for a really good story while Introducing new characters & worlds.

I for one don't need to be Legend of Spyro (Not that bad comic relief Sparx helped) serious. I just need to be serious enough for people to take Spyro
for what he actually is. A unique standout amongst other game/fantasy protagonists of being a lil dragon in a big threatening (yet magical) world.
But please, for the love of Tiamat or whatever draconic deity Spyro follows, please,please don't let Ember replace Cynder! Just don't.
I don't want to have been waiting this long and get slammed by that.
Also hate to say it but Crash 4's ludicrous rising difficulty (And 'unlock' skin gimmicks) just made it impossible for me to properly like the game.
I loved the art-style but it just made me wish I was watching a Crash cartoon instead of that torture chamber I subjected myself to.
Legend of Spyro was hard but that felt nigh impossible in the end.

Yeah fourth ones are quite a mix.
I really liked and understood your points here for Spyro 4. Now that he is back he needs a proper fourth entry. So also I want some things on it:
-Canon continuity: Proof that the game is a sequel and with some good callbacks to the past games.
-Characters: I'm totally in for more playable characters, but this time reduce them so there is consistency in gameplay and not too much minigames.
-Spyro, obviously, must remain and be the most playable in the entire game.
-Hunter, for shooting and speed sections.
-Bianca, magic sections like manipulate enemies or the level itself.
-Elora (hopefully), puzzle and trivia levels, maybe even combat.
And make the others comeback but as cameos or NPCs, so they still are in the game.
-Story: We all know that Spyro's essence is the gameplay, but at least the story could be one with great telling, adventure and humour. Is not necessary a cinematic experience (yet).
-New characters: It's tradition that a sequel must show new characters, both allies and villains. Bring back already established allies (Cynder, Flame and Ember), or enemies (The Sorcerer or Gaul) with some changes to fit this version of Spyro, or totally new characters that along fill the world also feel alive, maybe more cheetahs or a non-seen-yet species.
-Mechanics: With each playable character, gameplay can change to their abilities but still remain as a collect-a-ton platformer.
-Levels and Worlds: They could expand this and along with creating new levels to explore, also grab old ones with a twist and make them bigger or with some remodeling to grant a new experience, taking advantage of every space and corner (but not oversaturize the world with many collectables like in Super Mario Oddysey, or like in Crash 4 with the BOXES!)
-Difficulty: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Spyro has to be funny to play, also entertaining and challenging. But not very challenging like nowadays people sees for a game to be good. I hope they don't repeat what they did in Crash 4 with the helluva difficult.
-Extras: In The Legend of Spyro there were special collectables that once collected unlocked concept art. And in Reignited making some actions did the same.
Now here they can bring back both methods, and with the concept arts, add a theater mode for the cinematics, cheat codes, videos like trailers, bloopers or behind the scenes, and even a Game+.

I agree with a lot of what you said, I also want a game that continues where we left off and with a new villain; definitely bring back Hunter, Bianca and Elora as well as the Professor and maybe Moneybags. Let's not forget that there must be some new characters to go well with the story (I just hope the name of the game won't 'Realm of the Gods', that sounds terrible to me).

I don't want them to remake enter the dragonfly or legend of spyro. That'll ruin it for me. Once is enough for me. I think Spyro Cynder Hunter Elora Bianca Sheila Sgt Byrd Bentley Agent Nine Blink Flame and Ember should work together and I think that new villains should be introduced. Big spyro would gross me out. Hunter and Bianca getting married wouldn't ruin it for me. Spyro going into depression and being unsure if he can count on his friends to help him after he learns the truth about his origin wouldn't ruin it for me. They should get a new voice cast for the characters like Vic Mignogna (Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist), Dante Basco (Zuko from Avatar) , Bryce Papenbrook (Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist), or Bobby Edner (Vaan from Final Fantasy XII). The music should sound like heavy metal, I think. They should have a new world for Spyro and friends to save. I think that they should give everyone a smartphone. Just the thought of a remake of A hero's Tail would ruin it for me. No skylanders remakes either. That'll ruin it for me as well. And finally, clothes on the characters would be fine for me as long as we don't see the characters wearing baggy pants and clown shoes.

Should SLYCOOPER and TOMBA get a world swap in 2D

We need a SPYRO from the frog armys respective🐸💂. This would be more of a scenic movie 🎥 then a videogame. You play as a frog traveling in floating wooden boat suspended by hot air balloon. Mission will be thing like resupply and support frog army. Collect frozen dragon statues and dragon treasurers. But as you travel from land to land you'll bare witness to sites of destruction caused to you the frog arm you here testimonies of attack services. You'll here rummers of a young dragon that has bin distorting the frog army. You wont be sure what to make of this. It surly can't be true. They are crazy

I want ember the one pink dragon from hero tail to be playable or get a better role in the game. Or spyro could do the skins thing for other characters. A world fill with dragons male and female one and the babys in in it would be nice for the hub.

One thing that Spyro 4 needs but its quite unlikely is the return of the classic sound effect, the effects in reignited felt so lifeless and generic compared to the strong and iconic ps1 sounds.

Just the Gem collecting sound returning would be enough.

Speedways

Something I think would be cool is if instead of one dragonfly, Spyro could get the help of several different ones that have unique abilities or skills. I would definitely love to see Ember and some elder dragons in it as well. Out of all the games, I loved the first one and Hero's Tail because they included other dragons and Hero's tail was more fascinating because of the large map. I feel like it could have been done better, but it definitely had elements I was looking for. I also would have to disagree. I found the mini games very fun and each one unique. Most stuff in Spyro didn't make sense to begin with which is the fun of it. I also enjoyed that there were so many characters to use and help which is a reason why Spyro 3 was also a favorite but it depends on each person's preferences I suppose.

You know here's a Spyro Villain I totally would love to see in The Spyro Series a corrupt human villain no this human antagonist doesn't need to be a dragon slayer or an evil sorcerer but a human villain similar to corrupt government experimenting type like a super soldier human villain similar to The Super Soldiers from other videogames we need more corrupt humans and monsters in our favorite Videogames.

For me what would ruin new spyro would be making it like the old trilogy not TLoS I never liked these orginal "the-best-spyro-games" and honestly if the 4th spyro would be like them then I would not even pay attention to it in general.
