I've never heard of life saving stations. Very cool history lesson. I've started loving museums in recent years so it's fun to see all of the historical relics. You always bring us cool places.

Never realized that The Outer Banks was so big. Need to take my family here. Never heard of life saving station. Learn something new each day! They have cool artifacts there. That lifeboat is something I need. So much history in that area. The lookout made your shot look like drone shots. What a cool area.

I learned something new! I didn't realize there were life saving stations all over the nation, including the Great Lakes! When we visited the Outer Banks two years ago, I asked about the lighthouses location far from the water, and that was the first time I had ever heard of life saving stations.

That is a very cool place. So much history. I love that the homes are set on stilts so a bit of flooding wont get the house. LIKE 19. 👍👍👍👍

You are really making me want to visit the Outer Banks! So cool. Crazy that it’s known as the graveyard of the Atlantic. That’s fascinating there were so many shipwrecks. Wow. Amazing the life saving station has been around since the 1800s! Amazing. So cool to see all of the equipment they used. The Lyle gun is so fascinating that it shoots ropes out to the boat. The look out tower is really cool amazing they just took turns to watch for ship wrecks. This as such an interesting and informative video!! Thanks for sharing with us 😊

Love learning all the history! This looks like such an interesting place to visit. Love how they have a lot of the original building even if they have moved them a bit.

I didn't realize the area was so dangerous to ships, wow. And never heard of the life saving stations. Glad they kept this one. Love the gift shop....I'm obsessed with Christmas ornaments and I just saw some!! ha ha. Very interesting history. I love the Gothic style station, beautiful. The old stove in the cook house reminds me of my great-grandmother's. Good job getting pictures through the window...sometimes that's all you can get! Great view from the tower.

Such and interesting and informative video. I have never heard of life saving stations. It's so interesting to hear how this was once so common and how it helped build communities. They have a lot of interesting items on display and the techniques they would use in their rescues was also very probably fun to learn about.

Chicamacomico...that's a mouth full 🤣 Great history of this Life Saving Station. Love the old building and glad they were able to preserve them and keeping them out of the rising waters. Interesting life saving capsule. Love the cook house, the surf man looked like they left in a hurry. I am pleased they have saved some of the Life Saving Stations, and preserved for future generations to understand the past of these buildings and life savers.
