My grandfather had an old Allis Chalmers small round baler when I was a kid. He thought they were perfect for rolling out in front of the cows that were in the stanchion barn. We used to use a two prong hay fork to pick them up and toss them up to a hay wagon.
ОтветитьWhy though
ОтветитьAwesome little machine! But hey, looks like your raking left some hay on the ground that didn’t get baled!
I know what you’re saying about picking up the bales from the field!
I grew up on a small farm in southwestern PA. We had a JD 336 square baler. Dad always made the longest and heaviest bales that the baler could produce!
the baller doesnt pick up wery good does it
ОтветитьI dont know if im late but i recomend you sell the minibaler and buy an old square baler and a trailer to pull while baling so you dont have to pick up the bales
ОтветитьCongratulations
ОтветитьLooks like there is a lot of hay left laying on the ground
ОтветитьHalf the hay left on the ground, that’s going to become a real problem by the next cutting. These pretend farmers are hilarious in their ignorance 😅
ОтветитьGrow God corn
ОтветитьMake yourself a trailer with ramp to roll right onto trailer outa bailer .even if just groups them way easier to get outa field
ОтветитьLot of wasted hay.
ОтветитьI run a tar river 870 mini round baler. I added pickup wheels on each side a tongue hitch.
ОтветитьHappy for you
ОтветитьI think A C made a baler a long time ago that made small bales kinda that
ОтветитьOver ripe , most is still on the ground , got wet?
ОтветитьIt’s called work
ОтветитьSo cool!
ОтветитьHey picking them.up is the best part...free weight lifting
ОтветитьIf you thought picking them up was bad wait until you try to stack those darn things. There's a reason Square barrels are small and round bales are big
ОтветитьLeft half the hay on the ground 😏
ОтветитьAs mentioned earlier, Alice Chalmers made a round baler that did the same thing. These bales were a real bear to handle if putting in the barn due to the fact, no real way to grab/handle/hold of them or stack them short of hay hooks. One will find this out real fast when picking these out of the field to bring in to the barn, especially if putting them in a loft.
Some farmers let them set outside like some farmers do with the large round bales. Not sure how much waste they had per bale. Unless you are just going to dump them outside to feed them, they were hard to feed in a manger if you had to tear them apart.
In MHO, and only MY HO, just a novelty for the hobby farmer to have small round bales. Get a square baler and save your self a lot of aggravation.
I dont understand why youd want round bales the size of squares. They don't store as well and they are harder to collect and their is a ton of cheap old square bale equipment that makes it even easier.
ОтветитьMini farming
ОтветитьAfter making this evestment funded by bidens bill. When trump removed that funding and school land tax hit us we find we are going bankrupt.
ОтветитьI would not recommend a round bailer unless you can make big rolls. So many options for collecting regular square bails, not to mention easier to store
ОтветитьYou could rake all that again and get another 20 bales
ОтветитьEastern, Ky? Hell im in Prestonburg lol
ОтветитьYou didn’t pick up very much with your bailer
ОтветитьGet two hay hooks and hook them on both ends to put them on a trailer! You can handle them better with two hand held hay hooks!
ОтветитьBaler pickup is MISSING a lot product
ОтветитьLAUGH OUT LOUD mini farming at it best
