Another Great video Dr. Eyeball. Really enjoyed this video! Its been a few weeks since your last day in the life, will you be making more of those videos for oculoplastics? (as a pre-med hoping to become an ophthalmologist one day, its really exciting to see the life of how my future (hopefully i get into medical school, I'm taking my MCAT this April) will look like once i go into fellowship. Is it similar to that of residency? or what is the difference?)

Great channel and content! Based on what you said regarding choosing the path with less certainties, how would you reconcile going to an MD school vs DO school if you wish to pursue a competitive specialty?

I was just debating optometry school vs medical school and shooting for an ophthalmology residency when I stumbled on this video! I can't believe how spot on it is. If I take the "calc II test," I guess that would translate to medical school, while taking the B would translate to optometry school. But can I ask -- is it a bad idea to go into medical school if you know you're not a fan of cardiology or nephrology or frankly many specialties, but instead want to go into ophthalmology? I've been taking medical classes over the last year through a pre-professional masters program at my state medical school and I've been doing well, so I've sort of figured out what I'm not really interested in! I know I love the eye, but I'm terrified of trying for medical school, falling flat on my face, and not matching into ophtho. Any advice?
