ОтветитьI wish I could get a prosthetic eye I’ve been living in pain since about 12 years old I’m 24 now almost 25.. I’ve had multiple surgeries including a cornea transplant and my eye is cone shaped so it basically feels like I have something under my eyelid 24/7
ОтветитьP r o m o s m 😭
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. My 1 yr old granddaughter lost an eye due to cancer. She has just received her prosthesis and it looks amazing!
ОтветитьObrigado pelo vídeo. Excelente.
ОтветитьMy mom has a prosthetic eye also from a childhood accident. She has the prosthetic sewn in and then a big contact type of ‘lens’ similar to your grandma’s that she wears on it. She doesn’t take it out too often. She has to have it chiseled down and replaced every 10 or so years by the ocularist. It’s beautiful and actually tracks really well with her remaining eye. The occularist did a great job on it. I honestly forget often that she only has one eye.
ОтветитьBeen watching your videos for a while, first time commenting. Just got onto the ophthal program here down under in Australia for 2024. Excited to be joining you as an international colleague in this wonderful specialty. Really enjoyed this video. Keep up the great work, Zac.
ОтветитьSo good!
ОтветитьMy 3 month old child may get eye removed and I cant even imagine how we will manage removing and putting this back every now and then 😭
Ответитьquite interesting. just went through this for the exact same reasons. its only been a couple of weeks since I received my prosthesis. The whole experience was very educational, and a little scary. so happy to see your experience was a good, as mine is going so far. when you go through something like this, you often feel you are alone. Comforting to find out otherwise. thanks for sharing
ОтветитьDo you offer inplant surgery to install an implant that’s connected to the existing eye muscles which then has a post attached in order to mount the prosthetic eye to for full movement?

ОтветитьI’m on the edge of getting my blind eye removed and I’m concerned about having more pain after it’s removed that’s worse than my current level of pain?
ОтветитьIv had an artificial eye for years and had alot of fun with it believe it or not. It was hard to start with as a child but when I got older that’s when the fun started.?
ОтветитьHi my son is 2 years old and doesn't have a prosthetic eye yet but he has a clear cover in and it makes his eye irritated and red and he always crying that it hurts . What is happening and how can I relieve his pain
ОтветитьThanks to both of you! I'm still on the fence, so to speak. Also, does the music have to be so loud? Blind; not deaf.
ОтветитьThat was really interesting, ty xxx
ОтветитьThank you for such educational content! My mom just got a prosthetic eye ❤ she had an accident as a toddler and had some surgeries on her eye. She didn’t have much vision in it most of her life. Unfortunately, she had a bad fall 5 years ago and that affected her eye that was already fragile from past surgeries. It caused some damage to the eye aesthetically and she could always feel the stitches from the emergency surgery. Her vision pretty much went but she’s always relied on her right eye. She just got the prosthetic eye and we’re awaiting the lens appointment. This is very reassuring ❤
ОтветитьThanks for this video. My husband is in the middle of this process, and you really explained it well 😊
ОтветитьI’ve been wearing a sclera shell for many years after disfigurement from surgery to reattach a retina. Do you have any advice for what to do when your eyelid shrinks in size from wearing a shell for so long?
ОтветитьMy prostate is very old i need a new one But can't afford
ОтветитьHi I’m a medical student, my niece has micropthalmia and I just want to ask, if you put it in a child that’s only a year old, how often will you need to change it as she grows?
ОтветитьDolores is so cute, love her positive outlook and clear explanations! Thanks for the video
ОтветитьGod bless you for sharing. Eastern Orthodox Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel recently had a prosthetic eye placed on him. The reason is became a few months ago an Islamic extremist ran up to him while giving a public sermon on Jesus and attacked his face with a jack knife.
