Is your machine still working? I have heard that they die quickly...
Ответитьgood video.
ОтветитьMine died after three weeks. Sounds like there's something flapping around inside, and it no longer makes ice. Disappointing because the ice was so good!
ОтветитьThank you because mine didn’t include cleaning instructions!
ОтветитьHello.... I have used my machine a few times now... I have noticed when I am not using the machine it has a blinking light inside... do you know what/why that is? I read my booklets and Google but I don't find any info on it.. thank you
ОтветитьHi, I just bought the opal but was wondering does it have to be unplugged when not in use? Or can it be plugged in all the time?
ОтветитьI have used my opal ice maker about 5 or 6 times.....It stopped making ice, so I cleaned it.....when draining it water only comes out of one tube, is that normal?
ОтветитьI did exactly what you said but still NO ICE.
ОтветитьHow often should we clean our opal? Once a month, once every 2 weeks? And do we have to use vinegar in the cleaning cycle or will plain water work for cleaning cycle? thanks.
ОтветитьWe bought one and it made one bin of ice and will not make more. Any suggestion?
ОтветитьOn a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being exactly like sonic ice.. How does Opal compare?
ОтветитьExcellent review
ОтветитьThank you this was super helpful!
ОтветитьHad to go buy some!!!!!!😤😎 Coke glass bottles!
ОтветитьI did all your steps but the water won’t come out to clean. I don’t see any water
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas. Subscribed and thumb up👍👍👍
ОтветитьMy opal is about 4 years old, i fill it up with water (I only use distilled) it make some ice then it’s stops making ice. The thing is running but no ice, I noticed when it does work there is water running down the back and then the water stops running down the back, and no ice, help. I love my opal.
ОтветитьBro and you’re drinking Mexican Coca Cola which has the best flavor. Im sold I’m been tempting to buy this ice maker for some time
ОтветитьOk... I knew fridges with ice maker on outside arent in anymore so they made the inside freezer ice maker by sumsang amd now this??...
ОтветитьHi! I have a question I purchased a used one, I know horrible idea. 😂 but I plugged it in and did the cleaning process, and tried making ice later, I had it on for twenty minutes, and it made some ice (not very much) so I just let it keep going and then I checked twenty minutes later and the ice was melting and and no new ice was made, so I let it continue for about another 30 minutes and I noticed a steady stream in the back, behind the ice bucket. It also started making a very loud ringing noise. So I’ve kept it turned off. Hoping to find some answers, if my only option is to buy a new one I will 🥲
ОтветитьYou did a great job what is your opinion as to why there are so many people having problems with this machine could it be there not cleaning it properly or could it be there source of water or mechanical this makes it really hard to decide on a purchase of this machine.
ОтветитьThanks to prime day, i just picked up an Opal unit. Appreciate the videos and all the answers you have provided. Quick question - do you let your unit run all the time and just add water when needed? Or, do you cycle it on and off when you need more ice made. I noticed my unit puts off a lot of heat on the right side and is a bit noisy when running. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
ОтветитьI have had my Opal ice maker for over a year. A month ago I noticed blackish spots on my ice. Did the 18 hour cleaning on it then started it back up. Worked great, but after a few days had to clean again... black ice was back. Now I have to clean several times a week. We have well water, so no additives to the water. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьLOL Wow! How much was the Opal and does it still work?
ОтветитьPfft... all because you lost a bet... you clearly won the bet by getting a great ice maker.
Now making you clean it, weekly, that's losing a bet.
So here's my experience with this trash product. I feel compelled to warn people. My son purchased me one as a gift (boy did he regret that). It showed up USED (now I know why, it was refurbished). He contacted Amazon and strangely, they immediately said "just keep it, we'll send a new one". They knew it was refurbished IMO!!! They sent me a new one. After about one week, it started making this LOUD squealing noise. I read up on it and did the vinegar rinse, cleaned and cleaned (about every three days) and still it produced very little ice and squealed so loud everyone in my house was mad. SO, my poor son got in touch with GE and they said "well, we'll send you a refurbished one" but you have to box up the defective one (so they can pawn it off on the next unsuspecting victim), and let me tell you the boxing up process was a nightmare as this thing is HEAVY and was like fitting a very heavy jigsaw puzzle together. I raised all kinds of hell because I didn't want a refurbished unit, my son spent $600 on a NEW one. So GE said "we'll make an exception this time and send you a new one"... like they were doing me some huge favor. So fast-forward to this last new one they sent - SAME PROBLEM, VERY LITTLE ICE AND A VERY LOUD SQUEALING NOISE. I GIVE UP AND I HOPE GE GOES OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьCan you use other liquids ie: kool-aid, soda, etc
ОтветитьI noticed you did not use a bleach/water solution to clean as the full direction manual asks for. Does it matter if I just use plain water?
ОтветитьThank you I been trying to figure out how to clean it for months 😅
ОтветитьMine is about 2/3 years old all of sudden just stopped and the yellow circle. I am noticing some white chalky stuff
