New DJI Pocket 2 VS GoPro Hero 9 - Ultimate Stabilizer Battle!

I'd go for Pocket 2.. GOpro 9 is buggy and unstable.

I have both and think that they are meant for different tasks. The pocket 2 does a horrible job with stabilization on walking videos (you all are not showing the ninja walk in this video). The GoPro does a horrible job with switching functions when you have the horizon lock setting enabled. These two devices complimenter to one another versus competitors.

I think that Gopro hero 9 is not at all comparable to Osmo Poket 2, but unfortunately there are still a few things missing with DJI Pocket 2 such as replaceable battery, waterproof, battery life .. Otherwise, Osmo Poket 2 is of course much better than Gopro hero 9.

If dji continues to make action camera no doubt it will be more successful than the gopro. Yhe osmo pocket 2 tells everything. For me it's a pure osmo pocket 2💯

Does the Pocket Pro film for an hour or so in 4K without breaking up the footage into minute chunks like the GoPro's?

The DJI is simpler and does the job better. GoPro is too clunky and cluttered to use.

When it comes to Color, the hero 9 is the beast.

Something to consider is that Gopro also have some limited 4th axis, which the pocket 2 lacking.

Hi, can someone telling me about heating ? how this DJI Pocket 2 ?

Do you feel the Pocket 2 would be sufficient for recording video of kids baseball and soccer games? Or would a traditional handheld camcorder still be ideal with the additional zoom that it provides?

for me the gopro wins hands down. for vloging the pocket 2 is a good cam but it's all it's good for wheres the gopro 9 is a action cam so it's good for vloging and action and do much much more than the pocket 2 and the pocket 2 is more expensive

I know this is an old video, but I wanted to get the pocket 2 but found out you can't get additional batteries. that won't work for me, if I am out all day on a day trip and after 140 min my battery is drained.. I don't have time to wait to for the battery to recharge. I just wish they had replaceable batteries like the GoPro has. I will just get a simple gimbel for the GP if I want better stabilization.

I am a Offroad blogger please advise me , my main cam is iPhone 12 Pro Max and DJI mini 2 and my nieces go pro 8 for B roll ,but that last one must be upgraded. Please if u get a chance advise me.

Btw as soon as I saw the tunnel under 134 I said OMG that’s where I grew up . My parents still live there central and Doran 😆.
We got stories to tell from that park and tunnel from past.

Great video. I cant get my head around AFs and AFC .
Is AFS like manual focus ? so you click on it once and it's focused at that point. So for example
Click AFS once on a landscape.
Move behind a rock ( rock should be blurred out)
Pan /slide left and landscape will be in focus.

AFC always does auto focus
Landscape is in focus
move behind rocK
and it will refocus on the rock


when would you use AFS vs AFC

I just bought a hero 12 and I love it. I was considering getting a gimbal, but the pocket 2 can be had now for about twice the price of the gimbal. Any thoughts on whether you think the pocket 2 is worth it in 2024? It’s under $300 now and readily available. I’m mostly going to use it alongside my hero 12, but for lower light conditions. I know the pocket three has great low light capability, but it looks like the pocket two is no slouch in low light. I would love your thoughts. Do you think it’s worth it in 2024 since it’s under $300 now?
