Kia ora!
Ответитьsubscribed in 8 seconds.
ОтветитьI've just thought of a vulgar but funny one for you, as I was going to the toil-a (toilet) just now, it's the word 'sh*t', ''I'm going to take a sh*t'' lol. I imagine you'd say 'shat'?, in whichever Scottish dialect?...
ОтветитьI love that Kia Ora in the beginning bro. Chur from Auckland
ОтветитьWhat you’re describing is a ‘glottal stop’. It’s purposely blocking air flow at the back of the throat, so you block the hardness of the pronunciations. I’m also Scottish 😉
ОтветитьWell if naebdae knows the scottish langi git sum new leasson on trying tae read this comment if ye kin and aye a um scottish
ОтветитьIs it bad that I have an erection from listening to this?
Ответить❤
ОтветитьOh, cool! Always loved Scottish accents, but I've tended to treat accents in general the same as music: I know what I like when I hear it.
To have what makes for the accent in the first place detailed like this is fascinating and fun! Thanks!
Yes! More more more 💙😎
ОтветитьInteresting... I say Scotland with a hard D at the end! Like I over pronounce the D in Scotland! i love your videos, Muzz, they are interesting, nostalgic and super relaxing! (lowkey on a binge of your channel!)
ОтветитьThe t's at the end, forget em, they never had a chance lol!, when you said water with the silent t, the abruptness of it is funny.
ОтветитьStrewth mate I’m obsessed with your asmr 😍😍
ОтветитьYou remind me of Radcliffe from Agents of Shield and it's blowing my mind
ОтветитьSo every T that's not i n the beginning creat a glottal stop. And S, but yes. xD
ОтветитьTuna? Choona? Chewin’a brick or talking tae me, either way yer losing teeth🤣
ОтветитьI'm from Utah in the US and most people who grow up around here have a very similsr thing with the "t"s (that's different from general American softening of the sound). Common examples are "wa-er" for water and "moun-in" for mountain. Lot's of "ca-" (cat) stuff too.
ОтветитьThis is my kryptonite! I think my ears have melted! I have loved Scotland and her men/language all my life!
ОтветитьAfter watching this video, and watching novympia (I think they're Australian), and other videos about the dialect differences, I realized the American English uses the "d" sound for t's, and gaps. I think they're called glottal stops. We say start the same, we have a silent "t" at the end. But our other vowels are different. Like we don't use the long a vowel as often.
ОтветитьU started of by the moari language right
Ответитьthis was fascina'in'.
ОтветитьDid you say Kia Ora?? Are you a Scot living in New Zealand?
ОтветитьUs aussies say Chuna too!
Ответитьi am 1 step closer to becoming shrek..
ОтветитьWe say tuna the same way😂
ОтветитьYou had me at tuna 🤭 your voice is very relaxing!
Where in from, we pronounce our "t" like "D"! Examples... water=wadder, butter=budder 😅
Do you think an American could give themselves a Scottish accent
ОтветитьI'm an American who wishes she was Scottish. Loved this :)
ОтветитьI love your Scottish accent it's very relaxing 😴 great video I love how you say all the words in the Scottish accent
ОтветитьShrek really needs to take some notes
ОтветитьSo where tf is the t gone tae the shop like

ОтветитьGLASGOW!!!
ОтветитьIt’s funny how there’s so many different accents and sayings wherever you go in Scotland I’m from Edinburgh and completely agree with everything you say 👌
ОтветитьThis is incredibly relaxing
ОтветитьI’m England we say chuna aswell !!
ОтветитьI keep coming back to this video, it’s so relaxing and at the same very interesting! I think another video on this topic would be awesome 😄
ОтветитьISTG scottish is the best accent i've ever heard, there's some scottish actor in Uncharted man i love it.
ОтветитьYep pretty much 100% accurate on this good on u pal!
ОтветитьI've never been to Scotland and I'm 1/8 Scottish but most people I meet talk about how they can definitely tell I am part Scottish.
ОтветитьI've never felt so sorry for the letter T in my life.
ОтветитьI'm NOT "Scottish", but I can replicate your words perfectly BECAUSE...I KNOW how languages function and I love reading about it. Love from Southern Québec, Canada! 🤔🥰🤗💖🇨🇦😁👍🏻
ОтветитьThis is my favorite ASMR video. I always listen to it too relax. Can you make a part 2?
Ответитьthis has been one of the best actually helpful scottish accent videos.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьSomething I've noticed about when Scottish people talk is that they often don't say the entire last word of a sentence. I'm not sure if I have that right though, because all I can remember off the top of my head is the Muffit Of Tea bit from Limmy's show where Limmy asks what he just said, then says "No the la" instead of "the last thing".
Oh and of course, 'hing instead of thing.
1st word im like naw it's chuna wont lie lol
Ответить"impress one of your Scottish friends" well fuck what if I'm the Scottish friend what then
