I still use that mixer, I just route it into a modern audio interface.
Ответить@AudioPilz when you have a chance, can you come back to 2025 ;) and review the Roland MV-1? Thanks!
ОтветитьYou need to screen the Memes longer i had to watch this in slowmo
ОтветитьThis is the first of your videos that I've come across. I've been bedroom producing since 2006---your multitude of audio memes were awesome! I had to keep pausing to fully enjoy them all. 10/10 and Subbed!
ОтветитьWaaaay to many memes, couldn't even get through the video. Seemed like a great premise, ruined by brainrot internet meme s
ОтветитьHad a similar setup in the mid-90s. A JX-8P, SH-101 and Sequential Drumtraks. An OG 60Mhz Pentium PC, with Cakewalk with a Turtle Beach Maui PCI interface with 1-2MB memory and OG Soundforge. And the awesomeley named Deep Bass Nine which was like a fatter less acidic take on the MS-404. Later got a Waldorf Pulse, Nord Lead & microModular, Jomox Xbase 09, better PC/DAW (CubaseVST) and it was a good setup. Exciting times when Waldorf XTK, Machinedrum/MachinedrumUW, DSI Evolver, Ableton, NI Absynth, FM7 & Kontakt came out early 2000s. Maybe you can do a late 90s to early 2000s Wonky/Minimal Techno setup? It feels like the where the shape of current modern electronic music studios really solidified.
ОтветитьYou could have done all this with the MC 505................Not the samples I guess.
ОтветитьMaaskantje!
ОтветитьLovely. Also great placement of that WD-40.. lol. XD
Ответитьrespect
Ответитьauthentic look-mum-no-computer setup of the 90s.
ОтветитьAt least i was able to finish my tracks in the 90'S🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьEDM didn't exist in the 90s.
ОтветитьSo I posted a video of using the perfect black metal snare sample. It's like 320kbps 32bit FLAC or something, and it's 22kb.
It's punchy AF. Ideal for disbeat (which I genuinely actually want to have sex with).
Shit, I forgot, it's 384khz. Also, it weighs 19 joules.
that was amazing!!! incredible what you can make with old school gear, i bet in that time you would crush it in the scene, love from argentina 💝💝💝
ОтветитьI still have my Alesis MMt8 in mint condition boxed, complete. Anyone want it?
ОтветитьGreat video and great sound 😁 there is something special with that way og recording tracks. how did you connect the compressor?
Ответитьdamn, these jams are absolute fire
ОтветитьЗвучит лучше чем все VST вместе взятые !!!
ОтветитьYou know what I'm REALLY fucking tired of?
"People" that say 1 isn't a prime number.
This is epic! Lovely! One day, I shall have my own 80s/90s setup. 👏👏👏👏
Ответитьgenious, i recognize a lot from that time hahahhahaah, but i could only record on cassette tape. and extensive midi rigs, and sequencing on pc with cakewalk, that could do only midi/cc/sysex heheh top video again!
ОтветитьI wish this was 20 minutes longer. Really fascinating and fun.
ОтветитьThe last few seconds are the true rapresentation of what it meant producing music at the time: blasphemies 😂😂😂
Great content, you took me to the very beginning of my career ❤
👍
ОтветитьI've had an XBase 09 since 2006 and love it. I think I paid $300 for it on a very early EBay. I have used the absolute crap out of it over the years. Funny thing is the XBase 09 is still pretty cheap. One of the better deals in vintage analog anything IMHO.
ОтветитьStill using my 80s/90s gear but the main game changer for me came with recording and mastering my mixes in the computer.
ОтветитьTechno Viking back to da chat
Ответитьvideo length 909! nice
ОтветитьBeautiful !!!
ОтветитьWD-40!
ОтветитьI remember the empty warehouse rave parties.
ОтветитьOMG, how I hated MMT-8 !!! Besides the terrible interface, it had a big problem: the buttons quickly became unusable, the contacts wore out, and in order for them to work, you had to press them very hard and often.
ОтветитьAwesome!
Ответитьyou really don't need all the memes
ОтветитьThere was no edm in the 90s , you lot made that sht up afterwards
ОтветитьMit welchem Amp wurden die Control 1 hier genutzt?
ОтветитьThe thign with the Alesis 3630 was that it had a bug where it clicked despite proper setup. Hence some techno fabulousa. :D
Ответитьcould you compress your vocal more I can barely hear it
ОтветитьYou nailed it, and managed to squeze out some banger tracks! Here was my 1997 setup, thanks to 20 years of debt by squandering all of my student loans on used gear:
Alesis MMT-8 sequencer
Mackie 1202 mixer
Roland TR-707 and 727
Roland MC-202 (DIN-sync to MIDI thanks to the TR-707!)
Novation BassStation keyboard
Ensoniq ESQ-M (4U rack version of ESQ-1)
PAiA Fatman (2U 2osc analog synth built from a kit)
Yamaha TX81z (1u 4op FM with "Lately Bass" patch)
Yamaha TG-33 then TG-77 for pads
Novation DrumStation (808+909 in a 1U rack)
Korg Electribe ER-1 (used as the sequencer for DrumStation)
Boss DE-200 (1U digital delay with modulation)
...all dumped as 2-track from the mixer directly to cassette tape!
Tutti questi meme danno un fastidio incredibile!
ОтветитьThis is magical, 90s vibe is unforgetable
Ответитьsounds better than what we get now in festivals.
Ответитьso many memories from the adats... I had one of those XTs (in 2018 though)
Ответитьwhat's your take on those JBL control ones? I've been thinking of adding these as a 2nd set to my krk rokit 6s (or even replacing them with the jbls)
cheers from Brazil
so good as always
ОтветитьAlesis MMT-8 is the queen of the sequencers.
ОтветитьThe "Meeting with Hainbach did not affect me" in a nutshell :D
