The Propaganda of The War On Christmas

i love the argument that the majority of the population is also the majority of a specific group of good people, like yeah thats kinda how most things work, most people who volunteer will be Christian because most people in general are Christian

It's so obviously non-political to me. Not everyone is Christian. Given this is an American thing mostly... only like 70-something percent of Americans are Christians. Where each American lives is different, but say 1-in-5 to 1-in-15 people you meet aren't Christian (a lot of people), than isn't it just a nice minor consideration? To view this as oppression is batshit crazy - like how stuck in the mainstream and totally unquestioned is your lifestyle that someone giving a different holiday greeting hurts you?

When I hear happy holidays I just assume that might include the multiple days of christmas and new year‘s eve, the epiphany 6th January and possibly santa clause. And these are all christian holidays lol

Nice try weirdos. It is obvious that you hate the word Christmas and resent Christianity. That is the point of the War on Christmas. You would gladly replace it or modify it, according to your worldview, but you are still a minority and thus losing the war.

The movie was about people not about tradition. People use laws to push their agenda and interprete laws to achieve their agenda. Christians do the same thing. Those who fail to understand that all laws, both those of God and those of men, is up for debate. That is why in the Garden of Eden, God placed the Man, Woman and the Serpent on trial where they made arguments as to their innocence. God had already decleared punishment of Death should they eat of the Tree of Knowledge and Life. After the trial, God passed a different judgement and prevented them from eating from the tree of eternal life.

I cannot stress enough just how much of a stranglehold that "Christmas with a Capital C" song had/has on my church growing up.

Two years late, but in the Christian tradition, it's not even Christmas until Dec. 25 (then for the following 11 days). So, I'm not sure why American evangelicals obsess with the phrase "Merry Christmas," when it is not even Christmas yet.

Frankly if Christmas was celebrated in the old wild manor of yore then people like Prager would want to have it banned.

I've never gotten a bad reaction from saying "Merry Christmas" to anyone. I've gotten plenty of angry "Merry Christmas😡" reactions from saying "Happy Holidays".

Well so in that '90s case where they forced the nativity scene to be taken down off of public property especially because there was some text there that said something to the effect of glory of God or whatnot Well why wouldn't we just dispute that it says in God we trust on the American dollar?

They straight up stole the plot of that movie from my hometown's lore. Like maybe the mayor wasn't the one putting up the nativity scene but someone at city hall was, and someone actually took them to court with the help of the ACLU. Now, there still is a nativity scene but it's in the back of pickup that's parked outside city hall for the holidays. So, still a state sponsored nativity scene and one less parking space.

Equality feels like oppression to the privileged.
