Car Hire Trouble in Paradise - When a Holiday Goes Wrong!
We done our car hire through AVIS and i wouldn't not recommend them to anyone! Watch along and you'll find the perfect reason not to use these cowboys for your next holiday rental abroad / holiday.
We start the day after filming out Tamassa hotel guide and take a trip to point Maconde one of the most photo'd place in Mauritius before we head of to Le Morne beach to sow you some of the fantastic views around the beach and form the sky!
Then all our car hire trouble starts! The coolant leaked, No windscreen washer and most importantly the timing belt snapped making the car un drive able. Sums up our day with our replacement car having no locks and weathers just being like a typical British summer if you will.

Hired loads of cars in the USA and never had a problem but had some right dogs on hire in the Med but never actually broken down.
Having 2nd thoughts on hiring in Mauritius later this month now 😂
Sorry guys, the next day will be better. I had a dodgy car that had plastic seats and the weather was 90 , bit hot on the legs.

Thankfully, we've never had an issue hiring a car abroad. Greece is my favourite place to hire as they aren't bothered about dents and scratches as long as you bring it back with no major damage they are happy.

I've been watching your Mauritius vlogs, we go in 5 weeks for the first time so they've been very useful. We were considering hiring a car but I've read horror stories about how bad other drivers are, dogs running out into the road, police stopping you, bad traffic etc... Did you have any other bad experiences other than being unlucky with your cars?

Jesus !! wt... !!! lucky nothing bad happened on the way 🤯 Hate when plans do not work out when you have an amazing day planned, especially when you there just for 2 weeks but that is travel for you (happens sometimes).
Oh guys 😢😢😢 what a s**t time 😢 Cowboys !!! We have hired when we do the Greek Islands, thankfully no problems. I hope things ended ok ❤❤❤❤

Unfortunately, there is too much incompetence in Mauritius. The best people have left the island. Sorry for your troubles.
