Great video. Just a tip. If you go half way on the burnt out section you can eliminate half. Then go half way again on the bad section. Saves untwisting the strand so many times.

This is great information, if you use clothes pins to mark your problem areas they work great, just snap on the light socket so you know end to end of area.

Save yourself a lot of work untwisting wires and buying specialty tools. Use a standard non-conductive stick tester, plug it in, and tap it on each bulb until you find the one without power. For some strands, the bad bulb will cause the remaining sequential bulbs to go out, making it possible to find without a tester.
