It's one of the best Radar Detector I hv ever tried! Definitely worths every penny.
ОтветитьNever will be? Are you insane? Ku is being used more and more here in the states.
Ответить"Ku band used more and more here in the states?" Tell you what: Send us a photo of a Ku-band radar on the dash of a U.S. patrol car and we'll send you a check for $500.
ОтветитьAccording to what I was reading that brought me to your video, the test performed in 2009 showed a Cobra, 955 and a Whistler pro78se and the 955 had way better straight line detection than either Escort here and or the 995. I thought the 995 & 955 used the same receiver? The feet difference is huge...in comparison. I think I will keep my 955
ОтветитьI have a question...If people say ka band is more difficult to detect, why? The chart shows 5 1/2 miles v 2 1/2 for k band yet I have heard k band.is easier to detect but it has a shorter detection range. I have the 995 now and while it does great, I still, in two weeks of testing, can't find an argumentative difference between the two.
ОтветитьI was comparing the 955 to the 995 in my comment below this one.
ОтветитьKa band is tougher detect in the sense that its extraordinarily wide bandwidth--13,000 times wider than K band--forces the detector to sweep all of this real estate looking for signals. Once located, however, it can be detected from about as far away as X or K. This assumes that each radar is a late-model DSP unit and not an older analog design, many of which had far higher transmit power.
ОтветитьDude, KA band is not used anywhere in the USA.
Ответитьi dont know about nj running KU as i dont have KU turned on, but i can definitely vouch for NEVER EVER in over a year of detecting X band from state police and countless KA detecting from NJSP
Ответитьi wrote that bad....i meant in a year of using my radar ive never gotten 1 X band detection from nj state police yet countless KA detections...from NJSP the ones who supposedly use X
ОтветитьMy 995 is awesome.
ОтветитьOops....brain fart, it's KU band that is not used in the USA.
ОтветитьESCORT DOES NOT OWN BEL!
ОтветитьYou may care to share that information with John Larson, CEO of Escort. I'm certain he'll be surprised to learn this.
ОтветитьHello my friend, I am from Europe, and use Bell V995 rev 6.3 foe a while, do you have some secret tips to share with me? Regards from Croatia
ОтветитьFaith just my opinion but shut off any bands you know aren't used in your area or shut of the bands that you believed false alert often. In the USA x-band flashes often. A lot of people here shut x-band off. Shutting off bands won't really give you more range but will allow your detector to notify you quicker should an actual threat be present.
ОтветитьI AM ATRUCK DRIVER IN THE UNITED STATES, I HAVE A BELTRONICS V 995 AND I HAD VALENTINE ONE BEFORE, BUT BELTRONICS V995 WORKS BETTER, I LOVE BELTRONICS V 995
Ответить@Mr9C1Driver KA-Band is used by 100% of the Highway Patrol (when not using laser) in many states such as Alabama & Georgia, not to mention ALL city police where I live and all the way down to the coast. Check my videos of my Bel-V10 catching Troopers & City Police.
ОтветитьTech mode not always accurate, Beltronics 995 good radar detector for the money.
ОтветитьStill works well...Very well.
ОтветитьCan I be arrested for having a radar detector in my vehicle? I live in TEXAS.
Awesome video. Thanks so much.
Im still in shock that craig Peterson 11 years ago wrote a article that 33.8 MPH is rarely if ever encountered
ОтветитьI had this exact unit back in 1994 in my Vette. It saved me so many times. Read more…
